ABSTRAK Salah satu sarana pesta demokrasi adalah pemilihan umum. Pemilihan umum membuat semua pihak dapat terakomodasi apa yang diinginkan dan cita-citakan sehingga terwujud kehidupan yang lebih baik. Komponem penentu berhasil atau tidaknya pelaksanaan pemilu adalah masyarakat (warga negara). Penelitian ini merumuskan beberapa permasalahan yang akan dikaji adalah bagaimana bentuk partisipasi politik dan faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilih pemula dalam pelaksanaan pemilukada tahun 2013 di Kecamatan Kluet Selatan Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk untuk mengetahui bentuk partisipasi politik dan faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilih pemula dalam pelaksanaan Pemilu Kepala Daerah Kabupaten Aceh Selatan tahun 2013. Metode Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan pada kondisi alamiah, sumber data primer dan teknik pengumpulan data lebih banyak kejadian yang sudah berlalu, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk partisipasi politik pemilih pemula dalam pelaksanaan pemilukada tahun 2013 di Kecamatan Kluet Selatan Kabupaten Aceh Selatan terbagi dalam bentuk pemberian suara, kampanye, dan berbicara masalah politik. Faktor penghambat partisipasi politik pemilih pemula dalam pemilukada tahun 2013 di Kecamatan Kluet Selatan Kabupaten Selatan adalah kesibukan sehari-hari, perasaan tidak mampu, dan larangan dari pihak keluarga, sedangkan faktor pendorong partisipasi politik pemilih pemula dalam pemilukada tahun 2013 adalah : rasa ingin tahu, dan kesadaran politik para pemilih pemula. Dari hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menyampaikan beberapa saran kepada pemilih pemula di Kecamatan Kluet Selatan khususnya dan Aceh Selatan pada umumnya, agar meningkatkan pengetahuan dan partisipasi politiknya dalam Pemilukada Kabupaten Aceh Selatan ke depan. Kata Kunci : Partisipasi Politik, Pemilih Pemula, Pemilukada ABSTRAC POLITIC PARTICIPATION OF YOUNG ELECTOR IN GENERAL ELECTION FOR BUPATI IN SOUTH ACEH (study in Kecamatan Kluet Selatan) One of democracy party is general election. The general election makes all of elements can accommodate what do they want and aspirate in order to get the good life. The determinant whether successful or not the general election is the societies (citizens). This research formulates that some of the problems that will be investigated how the form of politic participation and the factor can be influence of young elector in general election for Bupati 2013 in Kecamatan Kluet Selatan. The aim of this research is to find out the form of politic participation and the factor can be influence for the young elector in general election for BUPATI Aceh Selatan in 2013. The method of collection the data uses the technique which done in natural condition. The primer resource data and the technique collection data are taken the happening in the past, the detail interviews, and the documentations. The results of this research show that the form of the young elector for BUPATI in Kecamatan Kluet Selatan, Aceh Selatan divides in vote, campaign, speaking about politics. The factor of inhibitor of politic participation of the young elector for BUPATI 2013 in Kluet Selatan, Aceh Selatan are the activities every day, the feeling could not be, and families’ prohibition. The factor to support of politic participation of the young elector for BUPATI 2013 in Kluet Selatan, Aceh Selatan are the feeling wants to know it, awareness about politic of young elector. Based on this research, the researcher gives some suggestions to the young elector in Kecamatan Kluet Selatan especially, Aceh Selatan generally in order to increase knowledge and politic participation in General election for BUPATI.
