Judul : Pengaruh Urbanisasi, Aglomerasi dan Transportasi Udara terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Negara ASEAN-8

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh antara urbanisasi, aglomerasi dan transportasi udara terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di 8 negara ASEAN dengan menggunakan data tahunan periode 2000-2023. Metode yang digunakan adalah Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (Panel ARDL) yang mampu mengidentifikasi pengaruh jangka pendek dan jangka panjang antar variabel tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa urbanisasi dalam jangka pendek tidak berpengaruh signifikan, sementara dalam jangka panjang memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di negara ASEAN-8; aglomerasi dalam jangka pendek tidak berpengaruh signifikan, sementara dalam jangka panjang memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di negara ASEAN-8; sedangkan transportasi udara memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di negara ASEAN-8 dalam jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang. Oleh karena itu, dalam jangka panjang peranan pemerintah diperlukan untuk mengendalikan urbanisasi secara terarah melalui peningkatan infrastruktur dan pembangunan yang merata; selanjutnya, pemerintah perlu memperkuat aglomerasi dengan dukungan kawasan industri dan pengembangan klaster baru. Terakhir, pemerintah perlu terus meningkatkan jumah pelayanan transportasi udara, melalui konektivitas rute di banyak negara, guna semakin memperluas keterhubungan kawasan dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi negara ASEAN.

This study aims to analyze the effect of urbanization, agglomeration, and air transportation on economic growth in eight ASEAN countries using annual data from 2000 to 2023. The method used is the Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (Panel ARDL), which is capable of identifying the short-term and long-term influences between these variables. The results show that urbanization has no significant short-term effect, while in the long term it has a negative and significant effect on economic growth in the ASEAN-8 countries; agglomeration has no significant short-term effect, while in the long term it has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in the ASEAN-8 countries; and air transportation has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in the ASEAN-8 countries in both the short and long term. Therefore, in the long term, the government's role is needed to control urbanization in a targeted manner through improved infrastructure and equitable development. Furthermore, the government needs to strengthen agglomeration with support from industrial zones and the development of new clusters. Finally, the government needs to continue increasing the number of air transportation services through route connectivity across multiple countries to further expand regional connectivity and drive economic growth in ASEAN countries.
