Limbah kain perca yang tidak dapat terurai oleh mikroorganisme dan tidak terkelola dengan baik karena ukurannya yang kecil, mengakibatkan penumpukan limbah yang terus bertambah setiap tahunnya sehingga menimbulkan permasalahan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain detachable collar dan detachable cuff, membuat detachable collar dan detachable cuff dari limbah kain perca serta menambahkan aksen sulaman, dan mengetahui daya tarik informan terhadap produk detachable collar dan detachable cuff yang dihasilkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 5 orang yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling yaitu, 2 (dua) mahasiswa departemen PKK FKIP USK konsentrasi Tata Busana, 2 desainer Aceh, dan 1 pengrajin sulaman. Proses pembuatan produk ini meliputi mendesain detachable collar dan detachable cuff, membuat detachable collar dan detachable cuff dan uji ketertarikan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa informan memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap desain, bentuk, serta warna yang diaplikasikan. Keempat desain memiliki perbedaan dalam penggunaan warna limbah kain perca yaitu warna coklat dan cream. Sulaman yang diplikasikan yaitu bunga melur dan bunga kopi, dan penerapan motif sulam dapat menjadi cara menjaga budaya teknik menghias kain dengan cara manual. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu mendesain detachable collar dan detachable cuff dengan teknik sulaman, membuat detachable collar dan detachable cuff dengan teknik sulaman dan mengetahui daya tarik informan terhadap detachable collar dan detachable cuff dengan teknik sulaman.

Annisa Mutiara (2025), Utilization of Fabric Scraps in the Production of Detachable Collar and Detachable Cuff Using Embroidery Techniques. [Thesis.Universitas Syiah Kuala]. Under the supervision of Dra. Fitriana, M.Si., and Agung Rorhi Prayudha M.Pd. Fabric scraps that cannot be decomposed by microorganisms and are not properly managed due to their small size result in an accumulation of waste that continues to grow every year, causing environmental problems. This study aims to design detachable collars and cuffs, create detachable collars and cuffs from fabric scraps, add embroidery accents, and determine the informants' attraction to the resulting detachable collar and cuff products. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects consisted of 5 people selected through purposive sampling, namely 2 (two) students from the Department of PKK FKIP USK majoring in Fashion Design, 2 Acehnese designers, and 1 embroidery craftsman. The process of making this product includes designing detachable collars and cuffs, making detachable collars and cuffs, and testing their appeal through observation and interviews. The results of the study show that informants responded positively to the design, shape, and colors used. The four designs differ in their use of fabric scrap colors, namely brown and cream. The embroidery applied is melur flowers and coffee flowers, and the application of embroidery motifs can be a way to preserve the culture of decorating fabric manually. The conclusion of this study is to design detachable collars and cuffs using embroidery techniques, create detachable collars and cuffs using embroidery techniques, and determine the informants' attraction to detachable collars and cuffs using embroidery techniques.
