Kemenangan calon legislatif perempuan membangun diskursus baru dalam ilmu politik. Perempuan sering diasosiasikan sebagai sosok lemah dan dinilai tidak tepat menempati jabatan publik, menjadi persoalan terhadap minimnya keterpilihan. Pada pemilihan legislatif DPRK Aceh Barat Daya Tahun 2024 terdapat satu-satunya calon legislatif perempuan terpilih, yaitu Deviyani dari Partai Gelora yang sebelumnya belum pernah terjun ke dalam politik praktis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji faktor penyebab kemenangan calon legislatif perempuan Partai Gelora pada Pemilihan DPRK Aceh Barat Daya Tahun 2024 dan untuk mengetahui penerimaan masyarakat terhadap kepemimpinan perempuan di Aceh Barat Daya. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori strategi politik, teori dominasi maskulin dan konsep perempuan dalam politik. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan faktor penyebab kemenangan calon legislatif perempuan tersebut karena efek figur keluarga dekat yang merupakan suaminya dengan hubungan sosial yang baik di masyarakat. Selanjutnya kekerabatannya di lingkungan sosial terbangun menjadi instrumen jejaring pemenangannya. Kemudian dana kampanye yang dialokasikan, dikelola secara optimal dan didistribusikan secara tepat sasaran. Selain itu, hasil penelitian selanjutnya yang dapat dilihat adalah stereotip masyarakat Aceh Barat Daya terhadap kepemimpinan perempuan yang belum signifikan menerima dan terdapat dominasi maskulin dalam pemenangan calon legislatif perempuan tersebut. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah calon legislatif perempuan harus menyusun strategi politik terbaik dengan didukung oleh partai politik, serta agar kelompok perempuan dapat mengetahui bentuk bentuk dominasi maskulin yang tersembunyi yang terjadi dalam politik praktis.

The victory of a female legislative candidate creates a new discourse in political science. Women are often associated with weakness and perceived as unfit to hold public office, which contributes to their low electability. In the 2024 legislative election for the Regional House of Representatives (DPRK) of Aceh Barat Daya, only one female candidate was elected: Deviyani from the Gelora Party, who had no prior experience in practical politics. This study aims to examine the factors behind the electoral success of the female legislative candidate from the Gelora Party in the 2024 DPRK election in Aceh Barat Daya and to explore public acceptance of female leadership in the region. The research applies political strategy theory, the theory of masculine domination, and the concept of women in politics, using a qualitative research method. The findings reveal that the candidate’s victory was influenced by the strong social standing of her close family member of her husband, who maintained good community relations. Furthermore, her social kinship network served as a crucial instrument in building electoral support. The campaign funds were also allocated, managed, and distributed effectively. In addition, the study finds that stereotypes regarding female leadership remain prevalent in Aceh Barat Daya, with the presence of masculine domination still influencing the electoral process of female candidates. The study suggests that female legislative candidates must formulate the best political strategies supported by political parties and that women's groups need to recognize the hidden forms of masculine domination that persist in practical politics.
