Minimnya pengetahuan Masyarakat Aceh tentang kajian ilmiah terhadap struktur
musik lagu Hymne Aceh merupakan fenomena yang ditemukan oleh peneliti.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur musik Hymne Aceh karya
Mahrisal Rubi melalui analisis melodi, motif, bentuk, harmoni, ritme, dan
dinamika. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik
pengumpulan data melalui observasi partitur, studi dokumentasi, dan analisis teori
musik Karl Edmund Prier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lagu Hymne Aceh
dibangun dengan bentuk binary form (A–B) dengan dua ending yang disusun
simetris. Setiap bagian memiliki periode musik yang terdiri dari frase tanya
(Vorsatz) dan frase jawab (Nachsatz) dengan penggunaan motif A dan B yang
diolah melalui pengulangan, sekuens, pembesaran interval, dan variasi ritmis.
Harmoni lagu didominasi progresi akor diatonis C mayor (I, IV, V) dengan sisipan
akor minor (vi, ii) untuk menambah warna emosional, serta kadens otentik
sempurna (V–I) pada bagian penutup. Ritme menggunakan birama 4/4 dengan
tempo Maestoso (♩=65), menciptakan kesan khidmat dan agung, sedangkan
dinamika berkembang secara alami dari lembut ke kuat sesuai alur emosional lagu.
Secara keseluruhan, struktur musikal Hymne Aceh menunjukkan keterpaduan
antara elemen bentuk, harmoni, dan ekspresi yang mendukung fungsi lagu sebagai
simbol kebanggaan dan identitas budaya Aceh.

The limited understanding among the Acehnese community regarding scientific studies of the musical structure of the Hymne Aceh represents a notable phenomenon identified by the researcher. This study aims to describe the musical structure of Hymne Aceh composed by Mahrisal Rubi through an analysis of melody, motif, form, harmony, rhythm, and dynamics. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through score observation, document analysis, and the application of Karl Edmund Prier’s music theory. The findings reveal that Hymne Aceh is constructed in a binary form (A–B) with two symmetrical endings. Each section contains musical periods composed of an antecedent phrase (Vorsatz) and a consequent phrase (Nachsatz), utilizing motifs A and B, which are developed through repetition, sequencing, interval augmentation, and rhythmic variation. The harmony predominantly features diatonic chord progressions in C major (I, IV, V), with the inclusion of minor chords (vi, ii) to enhance emotional depth, concluding with a perfect authentic cadence (V–I). The rhythm employs a 4/4 time signature with a Maestoso tempo (♩=65), creating a solemn and majestic atmosphere. Dynamics evolve naturally from soft to strong, aligning with the emotional arc of the composition. Overall, the musical structure of Hymne Aceh reflects a cohesive integration of form, harmony, and expression, reinforcing its role as a symbol of pride and cultural identity for the Acehnese people.
