Latar Belakang: Endometriosis adalah kondisi ginekologi kronis yang memengaruhi 10-15% wanita usia reproduksi dan 70% wanita dengan nyeri panggul kronis. Standar emas diagnosis saat ini memerlukan konfirmasi laparoskopi dengan pemeriksaan histopatologi, yang bersifat invasif, mahal, dan berisiko.
Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara kadar serum Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) dan Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) dengan derajat endometriosis.
Metode: Penelitian cross-sectional dilakukan di RSUD Dr. Zainoel Abidin, Banda Aceh, melibatkan 28 pasien endometriosis yang dikonfirmasi melalui laparoskopi dan laparotomi. Kadar serum COX-2 dan VEGF diukur menggunakan ELISA. Stadium endometriosis ditentukan berdasarkan klasifikasi American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Analisis statistik dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman, dan analisis kurva ROC digunakan untuk menentukan nilai cut-off optimal.
Hasil: Penelitian melibatkan 28 pasien dengan rerata usia 39,09 ± 7,74 tahun. Distribusi stadium endometriosis adalah: stadium II (28,1%), stadium III (25,0%), dan stadium IV (46,9%). Rerata kadar COX-2 adalah 1,14 ± 1,200 ng/mL (rentang: 0,23-7,23), dan rerata kadar VEGF adalah 264,62 ± 71,610 pg/mL (rentang: 152-394). Ditemukan korelasi signifikan antara kedua biomarker dengan stadium endometriosis: COX-2 menunjukkan korelasi moderat (r=0,423, p=0,016), sedangkan VEGF menunjukkan korelasi sangat kuat (r=0,841, p

Background: Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological condition affecting 10-15% of women of reproductive age and 70% of women with chronic pelvic pain. The current gold standard for diagnosis requires laparoscopic confirmation with histopathological examination, which is invasive, expensive, and carries significant risks. Objective: To investigate the relationship between serum levels of Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) with the degree of endometriosis. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at RSUD Dr. Zainoel Abidin, Banda Aceh, involving 28 patients with laparoscopically and laparotomy confirmed endometriosis. Serum levels of COX-2 and VEGF were measured using ELISA. Endometriosis staging was determined according to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) classification. Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman correlation test, and ROC curve analysis was used to determine optimal cut-off values. Results: The study included 28 patients with a mean age of 39.09 ± 7.74 years. Distribution of endometriosis stages was: stage II (28.1%), stage III (25.0%), and stage IV (46.9%).
