Faktor yang terpenting dalam suatu proyek konstruksi yang mendukung kelancaran suatu pekerjaan selain sumber daya manusia yaitu komunikasi antar pihak yang terlibat dalam proyek konstruksi. Komunikasi dan informasi yang salah mengakibatan kinerja yang kurang baik diantaranya: pembengkakan biaya proyek, buruknya mutu pekerjaan dan terjadinya keterlambatan waktu pengerjaan dari jadwal yang semestinya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi hubungan variabel arah komunikasi internal terhadap kinerja pada proyek konstruksi, dan mengetahui variabel yang memiliki hubungan dominan terhadap kinerja hasil pada proyek konstruksi di Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini melibatkan project manager dan site manager perusahaan konstruksi kualifikasi besar yang berlokasi di Kota Banda Aceh selaku penyedia jasa. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini melalui penyebaran kuesioner, analisis data analisis korelasi sederhana. hasil penelitian, diperoleh nilai hubungan variabel arah komunikasi internal terhadap kinerja hasil pada proyek konstruksi, yaitu: Variabel organisasi (0,703) yang didukung oleh subvariabel evaluasi dokumen proyek (0,653), variabel komunikasi vertikal ke bawah (0,682) yang didukung oleh subvariabel nasehat (0,618), variabel komunikasi vertikal ke atas (0,717) yang didukung oleh subvariabel saran dan gagasan (0,820), variabel komunikasi horizontal (0,916) yang didukung oleh subvariabel berbagi informasi (0,911), dan variabel komunikasi diagonal (0,784) yang didukung oleh subvariabel kerjasama (0,928). Komunikasi horizontal merupakan variabel yang memiliki hubungan dominan terhadap kinerja proyek konstruksi dengan nilai koefisien korelasi terbesar diantara variabel lain yaitu sebesar 0,916, didukung subvariabel berbagi informasi yang memiliki nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,911.

The most important factor in a construction project that supports the smooth running of a job, apart from human resources, is communication between the parties involved in the construction project. Incorrect communication and information result in poor performance, including: project cost overruns, poor quality of work and delays in completion of the project from the scheduled time. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between internal communication direction variable and performance in construction projects, and to find out which variable have a dominant relationship to performance results in construction projects in Banda Aceh City. This study involved project managers and site managers of large qualified construction companies located in Banda Aceh City as service providers. Data collection techniques in this study were through questionnaire distribution, simple correlation data analysis. Data collection techniques in this study through the distribution of questionnaires, data analysis simple correlation analysis. The results of the study obtained the relationship value of the internal communication direction variable to the performance of the results in construction projects, namely: Organizational variable (0.703) which is supported by the project document evaluation subvariable (0.653), downward vertical communication variable (0.682) which is supported by the advice subvariable (0.618), upward vertical communication variable (0.717) which is supported by the suggestions and ideas subvariable (0.820), horizontal communication variable (0.916) which is supported by the information sharing subvariable (0.911), and diagonal communication variable (0.784) which is supported by the cooperation subvariable (0.928). Horizontal communication is a variable that has a dominant relationship to construction project performance with the largest correlation coefficient value among other variables, namely 0.916, supported by the information sharing sub-variable which has a correlation coefficient value of 0.911.
