ABSTRAK
Prarancangan pabrik bioetanol menggunakan limbah kulit durian dan glukosa sebagai bahan baku. Pabrik ini dirancang untuk memproduksi bioetanol melalui proses fermentasi dengan penggunaan glukosa sebagai fermentor. Kapasitas produksi pabrik ini adalah 10.000 ton/tahun dengan waktu operasi 330 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Bentuk perusahaan yang direncanakan adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan menggunakan metode struktur organisasi garis dan staf. Kebutuhan tenaga kerja untuk menjalankan perusahaan ini berjumlah 197 orang. Pabrik ini direncanakan didirikan di Kawasan Industri Medan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara dengan luas tanah 15.390 m2. Sumber air pabrik ini berasal dari Sungai Siak, sedangkan listrik diperoleh dari generator diesel dengan daya 1.266,94 kW.
Hasil analisa ekonomi yang diperoleh adalah sebagai berikut :
a. Fixed Capital Invesment = Rp 144.752.131.752,-
b. Working Capital Invesment = Rp 25.544.493.839,-
c. Total Capital Invesment = Rp 170.296.625.591,-
d. Total Production Cost = Rp 334.981.199.229,-
e. Sales Cost = Rp 6.759.550.885.212,-
f. Laba bersih = Rp 68.945.037.799,-
g. Pay Out Time (POT) = 3,33 tahun
h. Break Event Point (BEP) = 36,15%
i. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 28,03%.
j. Rate of Return (ROR) = 40,49 %
Berdasarkan studi kelayakan teknis dan ekonomis diatas, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa prarancangan pabrik pulp ini layak untuk dilanjutkan ke tahap rancangan.

I. ABSTRACT The bioethanol plant is designed to produce bioethanol through a fermentation process, utilizing durian peel waste and glucose as raw materials, with glucose serving as the fermentable sugar. The plant has a production capacity of 10,000 tons per year and operates 330 days per year, 24 hours per day. The planned business entity is a Limited Liability Company (PT), employing a line and staff organizational structure. A total of 197 employees are required to operate the plant. The facility is planned to be established in the Medan Industrial Area, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, on a land area of 15,390 m². The plant’s water supply will be sourced from the Siak River, and electricity will be provided by a diesel generator with a power capacity of 1,266.94 kW. The results of the economic analysis obtained are as follows:: a. Fixed Capital Invesment = Rp 144.752.131.752,- b. Working Capital Invesment = Rp 25.544.493.839,- c. Rate of Return (ROR) = 40,49 % Based on the technical and economic feasibility studies above, it can be concluded that the preliminary design of the pulp plant is feasible to proceed to the design stage.
