Tanaman sawi samhong king memiliki adaptasi yang baik terhadap kondisi iklim di dataran tinggi dan rendah. Tanaman sawi samhong king termasuk tanaman dataran tinggi, meskipun banyak dibudidayakan di dataran rendah, namun produksinya lebih tinggi di dataran tinggi. Upaya modifikasi iklim mikro untuk menurunkan iklim mikro tanah dapat dilakukan melalui penggunaan biochar. Biochar salah satu upaya adaptasi perubahan iklim untuk menurunkan iklim mikro tanah pada budidaya tanaman sawi samhong king. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik dan biochar terhadap iklim mikro tanah pada tanaman sawi samhong king. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Biochar Research Station, Pusat Riset Biochar dan Hutan Tropis Lestari (5° 34' 5,02" LU, 95° 22' 36,19" BT), pada ketinggian 4 meter diatas permukaan laut (mdpl), Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sejak bulan Juli hingga Oktober 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non Faktorial dengan 10 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, diperoleh total 30 satuan percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 4 tanaman sehingga terdapat 120 tanaman. Faktor yang diamati dalam penelitian ini suhu tanah, kelembaban tanah, pH tanah, dan iklim mikro di sekitar tanaman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pupuk organik dan biochar berpengaruh nyata terhadap suhu tanah pada kedalaman 0 cm pada 2 dan 4 MST, pupuk organik dan biochar juga berpengaruh nyata terhadap suhu tanah kedalaman 10 cm pada 5 MST. Selanjutnya, pengaruh pupuk organik dan biochar berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap kelembaban tanah kedalaman 10 cm selama 5 minggu pengamatan, namun berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pH tanah pada selama 5 minggu pengamatan.

Samhong king mustard plants are well adapted to highland and lowland climatic conditions. Samhong king mustard plants are classified as highland plants, although they are widely cultivated in lowlands, their production is higher in highlands. Efforts to modify the microclimate to reduce soil microclimate can be achieved through the use of biochar. Biochar is one of the adaptation strategies for climate change to reduce soil microclimate in the cultivation of Samhong King cabbage. This study aims to investigate the effects of organic fertilizer and biochar on soil microclimate in Samhong King cabbage plants. This study was conducted at the Biochar Research Station, Center for Biochar and Sustainable Tropical Forest Research (5° 34' 5.02“ N, 95° 22' 36.19” E), at an elevation of 4 meters above sea level (masl), Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. The study was conducted from July to October 2024. The study used a non-factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 10 treatments and 3 replications, resulting in a total of 30 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 4 plants, totaling 120 plants. The factors observed in this study were soil temperature, soil moisture, soil pH, and microclimate around the plants. The results of this study indicate that organic fertilizer and biochar have a significant effect on soil temperature at a depth of 0 cm at 2 and 4 WAP, and organic fertilizer and biochar also have a significant effect on soil temperature at a depth of 10 cm at 5 WAP. Furthermore, the effects of organic fertilizer and biochar were not significant on soil moisture at a depth of 10 cm during the 5 week observation period, but they had a very significant effect on soil pH during the 5 week observation period.
