Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality (AR) dalam pembelajaran biologi dinilai mampu meningkatkan engagement, satisfaction, dan learning outcome siswa. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis kontribusi engagement terhadap satisfaction, kontribusi engagement terhadap satisfaction dimediasi oleh learning outcome, kontribusi engagement terhadap satisfaction dimediasi oleh prior knowledge, kontribusi engagement terhadap satisfaction dimediasi oleh prior knowledge dan learning outcome, kontribusi engagement terhadap learning outcome, serta kontribusi engagement terhadap learning outcome dimediasi oleh prior knowledge. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA di SMA Negeri 2 Sibolga, SMA Negeri 4 Sibolga, SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh, dan MAN 3 Banda Aceh, dengan jumlah total 794 siswa. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 266 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria memiliki perangkat handphone dan memperoleh izin dari sekolah untuk menggunakannya dalam proses pembelajaran. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner engagement dan satisfaction, serta soal objektif untuk mengukur learning outcome. Analisis data menggunakan PLS-SEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa engagement berkontribusi signifikan terhadap satisfaction dengan nilai original sample 0.264, T-statistik 3.915 dan P-values 0.000, engagement berkontribusi signifikan terhadap satisfaction dimediasi learning outcome dengan nilai original sample 0.063, T-statistik 2.348 dan P-values 0.019, engagement tidak berkontribusi signifikan terhadap satisfaction jika dimediasi oleh prior knowledge dengan nilai original sample 0.018, T-statistik 1.318 dan P-values 0.188, engagement berkontribusi signifikan terhadap satisfaction dimediasi prior knowledge dan learning outcome dengan nilai original sample 0.036, T-statistik 3.315 dan P-values 0.001, engagement berkontribusi signifikan terhadap learning outcome dengan nilai original sample 0,193, T-statistik 3.040 dan P-values 0.002 dan engagement berkontribusi signifikan terhadap learning outcome dimediasi prior knowledge dengan nilai original sample sebesar 0.109, T-statistik 4.512 dan P-values 0.000. Simpulan dari penelitian adalah engagement berkontribusi signifikan terhadap satisfaction, learning outcome memediasi secara signifikan hubungan engagement dan satisfaction, prior knowledge tidak berperan signifikan sebagai mediator tunggal hubungan engagement dan satisfaction, kombinasi prior knowledge dan learning outcome secara signifikan memediasi hubungan engagement dan satisfaction, engagement berkontribusi signifikan terhadap learning outcome dan prior knowledge memediasi secara signifikan hubungan engagement terhadap learning outcome.

The use of augmented reality (AR)-based learning media in biology education is considered capable of improving student engagement, satisfaction, and learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the contribution of engagement to satisfaction, the contribution of engagement to satisfaction mediated by learning outcomes, the contribution of engagement to satisfaction mediated by prior knowledge, the contribution of engagement to satisfaction mediated by prior knowledge and learning outcomes, the contribution of engagement to learning outcomes, and the contribution of engagement to learning outcomes mediated by prior knowledge. This study employs a quantitative correlational approach using a survey method. The population in this study consists of all 10th-grade science students at SMA Negeri 2 Sibolga, SMA Negeri 4 Sibolga, SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh, and MAN 3 Banda Aceh, totaling 794 students. The sample consisted of 266 students selected using purposive sampling based on the criteria of owning a mobile phone and obtaining permission from the school to use it in the learning process. The instruments used were engagement and satisfaction questionnaires, as well as objective questions to measure learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted using PLS-SEM. The results of the study indicate that engagement significantly contributes to satisfaction with an original sample value of 0.264, T-statistic of 3.915, and P-values of 0.000. Engagement significantly contributes to satisfaction mediated by learning outcomes with an original sample value of 0.063, T-statistic of 2.348, and P-values of 0.019. engagement does not significantly contribute to satisfaction when mediated by prior knowledge, with an original sample value of 0.018, a T-statistic of 1.318, and a P-value of 0.188. Engagement significantly contributes to satisfaction when mediated by prior knowledge and learning outcomes, with an original sample value of 0.036, a T-statistic of 3.315, and a P-value of 0.001. engagement contributes significantly to learning outcomes with an original sample value of 0.193, T-statistic of 3.040, and P-values of 0.002, and engagement contributes significantly to learning outcomes mediated by prior knowledge with an original sample value of 0.109, T-statistic of 4.512, and P-values of 0.000. The conclusion of the study is that engagement significantly contributes to satisfaction, learning outcomes significantly mediate the relationship between engagement and satisfaction, prior knowledge does not play a significant role as a single mediator of the relationship between engagement and satisfaction, the combination of prior knowledge and learning outcomes significantly mediates the relationship between engagement and satisfaction, engagement significantly contributes to learning outcomes, and prior knowledge significantly mediates the relationship between engagement and learning outcomes.
