Pembangunan infrastruktur jalan memiliki peran penting dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi serta meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Dalam pelaksanaannya, proyek konstruksi jalan memerlukan perencanaan dan pengelolaan waktu serta sumber daya yang efisien. Oleh karena itu, perencanaan penjadwalan proyek menjadi aspek penting agar kegiatan proyek dapat dilaksanakan secara efektif dan efisien. Salah satu metode penjadwalan yang sesuai untuk proyek dengan pekerjaan berulang adalah metode Line of Balance. Metode ini sangat relevan diterapkan pada proyek jalan karena pekerjaan yang dilakukan bersifat linear dan berulang di sepanjang jalur pembangunan. Studi kasus yang ditinjau adalah proyek pembangunan jalan yang menggunakan alat berat, berlokasi di Jalan Peunaga Cut Ujong – Alpen, Desa Gunong Kleng, Kecamatan Meurebo, Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Data yang digunakan dalam studi merupakan data sekunder meliputi time schedule dan gambar kerja proyek. Adapun tujuan dilakukan studi ini adalah untuk memperoleh perbandingan durasi penjadwalan proyek antara metode Line of Balance dan metode Bar Chart Kurva S. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, durasi pelaksanaan proyek berdasarkan metode existing (Bar Chart Kurva S) adalah selama 23 minggu atau 180 hari kalender. Sementara itu, penjadwalan ulang menggunakan metode Line of Balance yang didasarkan pada perhitungan produktivitas alat berat menghasilkan durasi proyek selama 122 hari kalender. Dengan demikian, terdapat efisiensi waktu terhadap perencanaan proyek sebesar 32,22% dibandingkan metode awal (Bar Chart Kurva S).

The construction of road infrastructure plays a vital role in driving economic growth and improving the quality of life for communities. In its implementation, road construction projects require careful planning and efficient management of time and resources. Therefore, project scheduling becomes a crucial aspect to ensure that project activities are carried out effectively and efficiently. One scheduling method that is well-suited for projects with repetitive tasks is the Line of Balance (LoB) method. This method is highly relevant to road projects, as the work involved is linear and repetitive along the construction path. The case study examined in this research is a road construction project involving heavy equipment, located on Peunaga Cut Ujong – Alpen Road, Gunong Kleng Village, Meurebo Subdistrict, West Aceh Regency. The data used in this study are secondary data, including the existing time schedule and construction drawings. The objective of this study is to compare the project scheduling durations between the Line of Balance method and the Bar Chart S-Curve method. Based on the analysis, the duration of the project using the existing method (Bar Chart S-Curve) is 23 weeks or 180 calendar days. In contrast, the rescheduling using the Line of Balance method—based on heavy equipment productivity—results in a project duration of 122 calendar days. Thus, the implementation of the Line of Balance method provides a time efficiency of 32.22% compared to the initial scheduling method.
