Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan perubahan kepribadian tokoh utama dalam novel 4 Masa 1 Mimpi karya Agam Fahcrul. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah novel 4 Masa 1 Mimpi karya Agam Fachrul terbitan tahun 2023. Data penelitian ini adalah peristiwa perubahan kepribadian tokoh utama yang digambangkan pengarang melalui narasi dan dialog dalam novel. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik kualitatif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan perubahan kepribadian tokoh utama Agam pada novel 4 masa 1 mimpi terdapat empat aspek (1) sembilan karakter awal tokoh utama berupa: malas mengerjakan tugas, tidak semangat belajar dan meraih cita-cita, tidak percaya diri dan pesimis, patuh pada orang tua, taat peraturan, temperamental, sabar, tidak menerima kenyataan, dan nekat (2) sembilan perubahan kepribadian tokoh utama berupa: mandiri mengerjakan tugas, semangat belajar, tidak patuh kepada orang tua, nakal, sabar, temperamental, berserah diri dan pasrah pada Tuhan dan bijak mengambil keputusan (3) stimulus terbagi dua yaitu 13 stimulus terkondisi dan delapan stimulus tak terkondisi (4) respons terbagi dua yaitu 16 respons terkondisi dan delapan respons tak terkondisi.

ABSTRACT Fasya Hanina. (2025). Personality Change of the Main Character in the Novel 4 Masa 1 Mimpi by Agam Fachrul. [SKRIPSI. Syiah Kuala University]. Under the guidance of Dr. Budi Arianto, S.Pd., M.A. and Herman R, S.Pd., M.Pd. This study aims to describe the personality changes of the main character in the novel 4 Masa 1 Mimpi by Agam Fahcrul. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research is the novel 4 Masa 1 Mimpi by Agam Fachrul published in 2023. The data of this research are the events of the main character's personality change described by the author through narration and dialog in the novel. Data analysis in this study was conducted using qualitative techniques. The results of the study reveal that the main character Agam's personality changes in the novel 4 times 1 dream there are four aspects (1) nine initial characters of the main character in the form of: lazy to do assignments, not eager to learn and achieve goals, not confident and pessimistic, obedient to parents, obedient to rules, temperamental, patient, not accepting reality, and reckless (2) nine changes in the main character's personality in the form of: independent in doing assignments, eager to learn, disobedient to parents, naughty, patient, temperamental, surrender and surrender to God and wise in making decisions (3) stimuli are divided into two, namely 13 conditioned stimuli and eight unconditioned stimuli (4) responses are divided into two, namely 16 conditioned responses and eight unconditioned responses.
