ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara kemenangan Partai Nanggroe Aceh (PNA) dengan pengaruh local bossism dalam memenangkan kursi Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Kabupaten (DPRK) Aceh Selatan pada Pemilu Legislatif Tahun 2024. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh realitas politik lokal di Aceh Selatan yang masih sangat dipengaruhi oleh kekuatan figur lokal, terutama tokoh yang memiliki jaringan sosial, ekonomi, dan politik yang kuat. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peran local bossism, yang dalam hal ini direpresentasikan oleh Tgk. Abrar Muda, dalam meningkatkan elektabilitas PNA sebagai partai lokal dalam kompetisi politik legislatif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori local bossism dari John T. Sidel dan konsep elektabilitas untuk melihat daya tarik calon legislatif di mata pemilih. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, serta teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemenangan PNA sangat ditentukan oleh kekuatan figur lokal yang mampu membangun loyalitas pemilih melalui relasi patron-klien, pendekatan kultural, serta pemanfaatan simbol keagamaan dan lokalitas. Dengan demikian, peran local bossism menjadi elemen kunci dalam mendorong elektabilitas PNA di beberapa daerah pemilihan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dinamika politik lokal di Aceh Selatan belum sepenuhnya rasional, melainkan masih bersandar pada kekuatan individu dan jejaring sosial yang dimiliki oleh elite lokal.

ABSTRACT This study examines the relationship between the victory of the Nanggroe Aceh Party (PNA) and the influence of local bossism in securing seats in the South Aceh District People’s Representative Council (DPRK) during the 2024 Legislative Election. The research is grounded in the political reality of South Aceh, where local politics remains heavily influenced by strong local figures who possess extensive social, economic, and political networks. The main objective of this study is to analyze the extent to which local bossism represented in this case by Tgk. Abrar Muda contributes to increasing the electability of PNA as a local party in legislative political competition. The study employs John T. Sidel’s theory of local bossism and the concept of electability to understand the appeal of legislative candidates to voters. A qualitative approach with a case study method is used, and data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, literature review, and documentation. The findings indicate that PNA's success is significantly influenced by the strength of local figures who foster voter loyalty through patron-client relationships, cultural approaches, and the use of religious and local symbols. Thus, local bossism serves as a crucial factor in boosting PNA’s electability in several electoral districts. The study concludes that the local political dynamics in South Aceh remain largely personalistic and are not yet fully rational, being shaped by individual power and social networks of local elites.
