minimnya infromasi terkait unit penangkapan ikan dan tingkat produktifitas hasil tangkapan di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Meureudu, sehingga masih ada kendala terhadap produksi usaha perikanan, salah satunya daerah penangkapan yang semakin jauh, dan beberapa faktor lain seperti, lama melaut, ombak laut, arus laut dan angin yang berpengaruh pada saat melakukan penangkapan ikan, bahkan faktor PK mesin dan ukuran kapal juga meyebabkan meningkatnya biaya operasional nelayan. Di PPI Meurudu sendiri belum adanya penelitian tentang tingkat produktivitas alat tangkap pukat cincin, oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai ini agar para nelayan dapat mengetahui unit penangkapan pukat cincin dan bagaimana produktivitas alat tangkap pukat cincin tersebut.. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan unit penangkapan pukat cincin yang ada di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Meureudu Kabupaten Pidie Jaya dan menghitung tingkat produktivitas penangkapan pukat cincin yang ada di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Meureudu, Kabupaten Pidie Jaya. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi dan wawancara terhadap unit penangkapan pukat cincin di pangkalan pendaratan ikan Meureudu Pidie Jaya. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan Unit penangkapan pukat cincin yang berada di PPI Meureudu dari GT kapal dari 28 sampai 58 GT, panjang jarring dari 800 sampai 1200 m, tali kolor dari 800 sampai 1300m, banyak pelampung dari 1000 sampai 1200 buah, pemberat dari 800 sampai 1000 buah dan cincin dari 75 sampai 105 buah setiap unit penangkapan nya dan pada produktivitas GT kapal dan trip mengalami fluktasi, dimana produktivitas per trip terendah pada bulan Februari dengan nilai 4,9 dan tertinggi pada bulan desember 14,5, dimana produktivitas terhadap ukuran kapal (GT) tertinggi pada bulan Desember 0,63 (ton/GT) dan pada bulan Februari yaitu 0,17 (ton/GT).

ABSTRACT The lack of information related to the fishing unit and the productivity level of the catch at the Meureudu Fishing Base (PPI), so there are still obstacles to the production of fisheries business, one of which is the increasingly distant fishing area, and several other factors such as, the length of fishing, sea waves, sea currents and winds that affect fishing, even the engine PK factor and the size of the ship also cause increased operational costs for fishermen. In PPI Meurudu itself there has been no research on the level of productivity of purse seine fishing gear, therefore it is necessary to conduct research on this so that fishermen can find out the purse seine fishing unit and how the productivity of the purse seine fishing gear. The objectives of this study were to describe the purse seine fishing unit at the Meureudu Fishing Base (PPI), Pidie Jaya Regency and calculate the productivity level of purse seine fishing at the Meureudu Fishing Base (PPI), Pidie Jaya Regency. The method of data collection in this study is the method of observation and interview of purse seine fishing units at the Meureudu fish landing base Pidie Jaya. The results of the study concluded that the purse seine fishing unit located at PPI Meureudu from the GT of the ship from 28 to 58 GT, the length of the net from 800 to 1200 m, the collar rope from 800 to 1300m, many buoys from 1000 to 1200 pieces, weights from 800 to 1000 pieces and rings from 75 to 105 pieces per fishing unit and on the productivity of the GT of the ship and the trip fluctuated, where productivity per trip was lowest in February with a value of 4.9 and highest in December 14.5, where productivity against vessel size (GT) was highest in December at 0.63 (tons/GT) and in February at 0.17 (tons/GT).
