ABSTRAK
Diabetes Melitus (DM) adalah penyakit metabolik yang ditandai dengan adanya hiperglikemia yang disebabkan oleh kelainan sekresi insulin, kerja insulin, atau keduanya. DM tidak dapat disembuhkan tetapi dapat dikontrol dengan mengkonsumsi obat antidiabetik dalam jangka waktu lama atau seumur hidup. Kepatuhan minum obat sesuai anjuran tenaga medis sangat diperlukan untuk menjaga agar kualitas kontrol pada pasien DM tipe 2 selalu terkontrol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kepatuhan minum obat dengan kualitas kontrol pada pasien DM tipe 2 di Poli Endokrin RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan desain cross-sectional. Pengambilan responden dilakukan dengan teknik consecutive sampling didapatkan 87 responden dan uji statistik yang digunakan chi-square test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan responden yang patuh dan terkontrol sebanyak 33 orang (80,5%) dan patuh tetapi tidak terkontrol sebanyak 8 orang (19,5%). Sedangkan responden yang tidak patuh dan terkontrol sebanyak 5 orang (10,9%) dan tidak patuh tetapi tidak terkontrol sebanyak 46 orang (89,1%). Hasil uji statistik chi-square test (p-value = 0,000) sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan kepatuhan minum obat dengan kualitas kontrol pada pasien Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh.

ABSTRACT
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia caused by abnormalities of insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. DM can not be cured but can be controlled with antidiabetic drugs in the long term or for lifetime. Medication adherence as directed by medical personnel is highly necessary to keep the control quality in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus being always controlled. This study aims at determining the correlation between medication adherence and control quality in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus in Poli Endocrine of dr.Zainoel Abidin Hospital of Banda Aceh. The type of research was observational analysis with cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling that obtained 87 respondents, and statistical test used in this study was chi-square anesthetic. The results showed that the submissive and controlled respondents were 33 respondents (80.5%) and obedient but not controlled 8 respondents (19.5%). While the non-adherent and controlled respondents were 5 people (10.9%) and non-adherent but uncontrolled respondent as many as 46 respondents (89.1%). The results of statistical tests of chi-square test was (p-value = 0.000) so it can be concluded there is a correlation between medication adherence and control quality in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus in dr. Zainoel Abidin Hospital of Banda Aceh.
