Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa kelas IX MTsN 2 Aceh Besar dalam mereproduksi teks deskripsi berdasarkan buku ajar Bahasa Indonesia kelas IX. Kemampuan mereproduksi teks yang dimaksud adalah keterampilan siswa dalam menyampaikan kembali isi teks yang telah dibaca dengan menggunakan kalimat sendiri tanpa mengubah makna. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu, siswa siswi kelas IX MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah teknik unjuk kerja. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik statistik, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa mereproduksi teks deskripsi yaitu (1) kemampuan siswa kelas IX MTsN 2 Aceh Besar mereproduksi teks deskripsi aspek pemahaman isi adalah 72 termasuk ke dalam kategori baik, (2) kemampuan siswa kelas IX MTsN 2 Aceh Besar mereproduksi teks deskripsi aspek parafrasa adalah 65 termasuk ke dalam kategori cukup, (3) kemampuan siswa kelas IX MTsN 2 Aceh Besar mereproduksi teks deskripsi aspek struktur adalah 91 termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik, (4) kemampuan siswa kelas IX MTsN 2 Aceh Besar mereproduksi teks deskripsi aspek kosakata dan diksi adalah 71 termasuk ke dalam kategori baik , (5) siswa kelas IX MTsN 2 Aceh Besar mereproduksi teks deskripsi aspek tata bahasa dan ejaan adalah 69 termasuk ke dalam kategori cukup. Secara keseluruhan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai yang diperoleh siswa pada rentang sangat baik berjumlah 3 siswa (5,3%), pada kategori baik berjumlah 33 siswa (58,9%), pada kategori cukup berjumlah 18 siswa (32,1%), pada kategori kurang berjumlah 2 siswa (3,5%), dan pada kategori sangat kurang berjumlah 0 siswa (0%). Dengan demikian, kemampuan siswa kelas IX MTsN 2 Aceh Besar mereproduksi teks deskripsi berdasarkan kelima aspek berada pada kategori baik.

Pd. and Dr. Budi Arianto, M.A. This study aims to describe the ability of grade IX students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar to reproduce descriptive texts based on Indonesian Language textbooks for class IX. The ability to reproduce texts in question is the students' skills in retelling the contents of texts that have been read using their own sentences without changing the meaning. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive research type. The sample of this study was grade IX students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. The data collection technique in this study was the performance technique. The data analysis technique in this study was statistical techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the ability of students to reproduce descriptive texts, namely (1) the ability of grade IX students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar to reproduce descriptive texts in terms of understanding the content is 72, which is included in the good category, (2) the ability of grade IX students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar to reproduce descriptive texts in terms of paraphrasing is 65, which is included in the sufficient category, (3) the ability of grade IX students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar to reproduce descriptive texts in terms of structure is 91, which is included in the very good category, (4) the ability of grade IX students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar to reproduce descriptive texts in terms of vocabulary and diction is 71, which is included in the good category, (5) grade IX students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar to reproduce descriptive texts in terms of grammar and spelling is 69, which is included in the sufficient category. Overall, the results of the study indicate that the scores obtained by students in the very good range were 3 students (5.3%), in the good category were 33 students (58.9%), in the sufficient category were 18 students (32.1%), in the less category were 2 students (3.5%), and in the very less category were 0 students (0%). Thus, the ability of grade IX students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar to reproduce descriptive text based on the five aspects is in the good category.
