Adaptabilitas karir merupakan kesiapan menghadapi tugas untuk mempersiapkan dan memiliki peran dalam pekerjaan serta mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan yang tidak terprediksi pada sebuah pekerjaan dan kondisi kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pola asuh orang tua terhadap siswa SMKN Banda Aceh, mengetahui gambaran adabtabilitas karier siswa SMKN Banda Aceh, mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orang tua dengan adaptabilitas karir siswa SMKN Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekantan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan disekolah SMKN 1, SMKN 2, SMKN 3 Banda Aceh. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 346 siswa dengan Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu probability sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) dan instrumen Career Adaptability Scale (CAAS) yang terdiri 40 item pernyataan dan 39 item pernyataan yang diadaptasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan terdapat gambaran jenis-jenis pola asuh orang tua terhadap siswa SMK N Banda Aceh. Peneliti menemukan hampir separuh siswa SMK N Banda Aceh mengalami pola asuh dari orang tua nya secara pola asuh permitif (37%), pola asuh demokratis (32%), dan pola asuh otoriter (31%). Sedangkan adaptabilitas karier siswa SMK N Banda Aceh hampir separuhnya pada aspek Career Control pada kategori rendah (28%) dan aspek Career Curiosity pada kategori rendah (27%). Uji korelasi pola asuh orang tua dan adabtabilitas karir memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000. Berdasarkan nilai Sig 0,000

Career adaptability is the readiness to face the task of preparing and having a role in work and being able to adjust to unpredictable changes in a job and working conditions. This study aims to determine the description of parental parenting patterns of students of SMKN Banda Aceh, determine the description of career adaptability of students of SMKN Banda Aceh, determine the relationship between parental parenting patterns and career adaptability of students of SMKN Banda Aceh. This research uses quantitative approach with descriptive research type. This research was conducted at SMKN 1, SMKN 2, SMKN 3 Banda Aceh. The sample of this study consisted of 346 students with the sampling technique, namely probability sampling. Data collection techniques using the Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) instrument and the Career Adaptability Scale (CAAS) instrument consisting of 40 statement items and 39 adapted statement items. Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, there is a description of the types of parenting patterns of students of SMK N Banda Aceh. Researchers found that almost half of the students of SMK N Banda Aceh experienced parenting from their parents in permissive parenting (37%), democratic parenting (32%), and authoritarian parenting (31%). While the career adaptability of SMK N Banda Aceh students is almost half in the Career Control aspect in the low category (28%) and the Career Curiosity aspect in the low category (27%).
