 <note>ABSTRAK&#13;
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan penguasaan konsep, dan sikap ilmiah siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi fotosintesis di SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen, dilakukan di SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh yang berjumlah 165 siswa. Sampel berjumlah 48 siswa terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelasVIII-4 dengan jumlah  24 siswa  sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan kelas VIII-5 dengan jumlah 24 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretes dan postes. Data peningkatan hasil belajar dianalisis dengan gain ternormalisasi (N-gain). Perbedaan rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dianalisis dengan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa: (1) penguasaan konsep siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional pada materi fotosintesis; (2) sikap ilmiah siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional pada materi fotosintesis. &#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
&#13;
This study aimed to determine differences in mastery of concepts, and scientific attitude of students who received guided inquiry model of learning and conventional learning in photosynthesis concepts in SMPN  8 Banda Aceh. This study used an experimental methods, conducted in SMPN 8 Banda Aceh year 2013/2014. The population in this study is students SMPN 8 Banda Aceh, consisted of 165 students. The samples are 48 students  were devided into  two classes, namely class VIII-4, 24 students, as  experimental class, and class VIII-5, 24 students, as control class. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test. Enhancement of learning outcomes data were in the form of normalized gain (N-gain). The difference in the average N-gain experimental class and control class was analyzed by independent sample t-test. The results of the study concluded that: (1) mastery student concept gain guided inquiry model of learning and conventional learning in photosynthesis concept ; (2) the scientific students attitude that received guided inquiry model of learning and conventional learning in photosynthesis concept. &#13;
