Pengaruh Korean Wave terhadap fashion style mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala
yang dipengaruhi oleh budaya Korea melalui berbagai media seperti K-Pop, K
Drama, dan variety shows. Perkembangan teknologi dan penyebaran Korean Wave
telah mempengaruhi gaya berpakaian mahasiswa, menjadikan sebagai cara untuk
mengekspresikan diri dan mengikuti tren global. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis
bertujuan untuk mengetahui Perspektif mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala
terhadap fashion style yang dipengaruhi Korean Wave dan mengetahui Pengaruh
Korean Wave terhadap pilihan fashion style mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala
dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif
deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Fakultas Hukum Universitas Syiah Kuala.
Populasi penelitian ini adalah 232 mahasiswi S-1 Ilmu Hukum Fakultas Hukum
Universitas Syiah Kuala Angkatan 2022 pada semester ganjil 2024/2025. Sampel
diambil menggunakan rumus Slovin yang diperoleh sebanyak 69 responden.
Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner dan dianalisis
menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dan penguji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dan
uji-F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Universitas Syiah Kuala
memiliki perspektif yang sangat positif terhadap fashion style yang dipengaruhi
oleh Korean Wave. Mahasiswa hukum terinspirasi oleh tren fashion Korea yang
ditemui melalui media sosial dan platform hiburan seperti K-pop dan drama Korea.
Mahasiswa mengintegrasikan elemen fashion Korea, seperti streetwear kasual dan
teknik layering, dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, yang memungkinkan untuk
mengekspresikan identitas dan kreativitas. Fashion Korea dianggap mencerminkan
nilai-nilai kepercayaan diri, kreativitas, dan ekspresi diri, yang relevan dengan gaya
hidup mahasiswa.

This study discusses the influence of the Korean Wave on the fashion style of students at Syiah Kuala University influenced by Korean culture through various media such as K-Pop, K-Drama, and variety shows. The development of technology and the spread of the Korean Wave have impacted students' dressing styles, making it a way to express themselves and follow global trends. This study aims to understand the perspective of Universitas Syiah Kuala students on fashion styles influenced by the Korean Wave and to examine the impact of the Korean Wave on their fashion choices in everyday life. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method. The research will be conducted at the Faculty of Law, Syiah Kuala University. The population of this study consists of 232 female students from the 2022 batch of the S-1 Law program at Universitas Syiah Kuala during the odd semester of 2024/2025. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 69 respondents. Data collection was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression, with hypothesis testing using t-test and F-test. The results show that Universitas Syiah Kuala students have a very positive perspective on fashion styles influenced by the Korean Wave. They are inspired by Korean fashion trends encountered through social media and entertainment platforms like K-pop and Korean dramas. Students integrate Korean fashion elements, such as casual streetwear and layering techniques, into their daily lives, allowing them to express their identity and creativity. Korean fashion is seen as reflecting values of confidence, creativity, and self-expression, which resonate with students' lifestyles.
