ABSTRAK
Konflik yang berkepanjangan antara masyarakat dengan PT. Nafasindo yang berada di Kabupaten Aceh Singkil dipengaruhi oleh kepentingan politik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pokok permasalahan konflik yang terjadi antara masyarakat dengan PT.Nafasindo serta menemukan solusi bagi para pihak. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriftif kualitatif, dengan data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis secara deskriftif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori inter group konflik, konsep penyebab inter group konflik dan penyelesaian inter group konlik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konflik yang terjadi antara masyarakat dengan PT.Nafasindo di Kabupaten Aceh Singkil disebabkan oleh sengketa kepemilikan lahan dan kepentingan politik serta konflik yang berkepanjangan belum pernah terselesaikan secara utuh. Konflik yang terjadi antara masyarakat dan PT. Nafasindo di Kabupaten Aceh Singkil telah terjadi beberapa upaya untuk mencari solusi, akan tetapi belum menemukan solusi antar pihak yang berkonflik secara permanen. Pemerintah Daerah harus berperan aktif sebagai mediator yang netral dalam konflik ini, kepada PT Nafasindo, harus transparansi dalam opersionalnya dan berkomunikasi secara terbuka dengan masyarakat, kepada masyarakat, diharapkan aktif berpartisipasi dalam dialog dan negosiasi dengan PT. Nafasindo dan Pemerintah.

ABSTRACT The prolonged conflict between the community and PT Nafasindo in Aceh Singkil is influenced by political interests. This research aimed to identify the core issues of the conflict and seek solutions for both parties. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews and documentation, which were subsequently analyzed descriptively. The study employed theories related to inter-group conflict, including the causes and resolutions of such conflicts. The findings indicated that the conflict arose due to land ownership disputes and political interests, with no comprehensive resolution yet achieved. Several efforts have been made to resolve this issue, but none have resulted in permanent peace among the conflicting parties. Therefore, the local government should play an active role as a neutral mediator, while PT Nafasindo needs to maintain transparency in its operations and engage openly with the community. Additionally, the community is expected to actively participate in dialogue and negotiation processes involving PT Nafasindo and the local government.
