ABSTRAK &#13;
Kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi bencana gempa dan tsunami sangat dibutuhkan &#13;
oleh guru, karena memiliki peran yang sangat penting apabila gempa dan tsunami &#13;
terjadi  di  sekolah  dan  saat  jam  pelajaran  berlangsung.  Guru  dapat  memberi &#13;
pengarahan yang sesuai kepada siswa seperti cara evakuasi dan penyelamatan diri, &#13;
maka hal ini dapat mengurangi resiko korban jiwa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah &#13;
untuk mengetahui perbandingan kesiapsiagaan guru di sekolah siaga bencana dan &#13;
non  siaga  bencana  berdasarkan  empat  parameter  yaitu  pengetahuan  dan  sikap, &#13;
rencana tanggap darurat, sistem peringatan dini dan mobilisasi sumberdaya. Jenis &#13;
penelitian adalah comparative dengan desain cross sectional study. Sampel adalah &#13;
seluruh guru PNS di SDN 13, SDN 2, SDN 7 Kecamatan Meuraxa dan SDN 27, &#13;
SDN 20, SDN 36 Kecamatan Kuta Alam Kota Banda Aceh sebanyak 81 orang &#13;
dengan  menggunakan  total  sampling.  Menggunakan  kuesioner  yang  telah &#13;
dikembangkan oleh LIPI-UNESCO. Analisa data menggunakan analisa univariat &#13;
dan bivariat: independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesiapsiagaan guru &#13;
di sekolah siaga bencana memiliki rata-rata 90,05 (SD 5,93) sementara sekolah &#13;
non  siaga  bencana  memiliki  rata-rata  71,69  (SD  11,25),  terdapat  perbedaan &#13;
kesiapsiagaan guru di sekolah siaga bencana dan non siaga bencana. Kesimpulan &#13;
penelitian adalah guru di sekolah siaga bencana  lebih siap menghadapi bencana &#13;
dibandingkan  guru  di  sekolah  non  siaga  bencana.  Direkomendasikan  kepada &#13;
sekolah  siaga  bencana  untuk  dapat  mempertahankan  kesiapsiagaannya  dan &#13;
sekolah  non  siaga  bencana  dapat meningkatkan  kesiapsiagaan  terkait  bencana &#13;
gempa bumi dan tsunami. &#13;

TEACHERS’  PREPAREDNESS  TO  EARTHQUAKE  AND  TSUNAMI &#13;
DISASTER IN STATE PRIMARY SCHOOL IN MEURAXA AND KUTA &#13;
ALAM SUB-DISTRICTS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY &#13;

ABSTRACT &#13;
Teachers need preparedness face earthquake and tsunami disaster, because  they &#13;
have  a very  crucial  role  if  the  earthquake  and  tsunami occur  in  school during &#13;
school time. Teachers are able to give appropriate briefing for student such as the &#13;
way  to  evacuate  and  self-preservation,  therefore  it  can  decrease  the  risk  of &#13;
casualties. The aim of the research was to identify comparison between teachers’ &#13;
preparedness in disaster preparedness school and non disaster preparedness school &#13;
based on four parameters i.e knowledge and behavior, emergency response plan, &#13;
early warning system, and  resource mobilization. The  type of  the  research was &#13;
comparative with  cross  sectional  study  design.  Samples were  all  civil  servant &#13;
teachers in SDN 13, SDN 13, SDN 2, SDN 7 in Meuraxa sub-district and SDN &#13;
27, SDN 20, SDN 36  in Kuta Alam sub-district Banda Aceh city  i.e 81 people &#13;
using total sampling. Using questionaire developed by LIPI-UNESCO. Analysis &#13;
data was used univariate and bivariate: independent t-test. Result of the reasearch &#13;
showed  that  teachers’ preparedness  in disaster preparedness school has average &#13;
90,05 (SD 5,93), while non disaster preparedness school has avarage 71,69 (SD &#13;
11,25).  There  was  difference  teachers’  preparedness  between  disaster &#13;
preparedness school and non disaster preparedness school. The conclusion of the &#13;
research is teachers in disaster preparedness school more prepared than teachers in &#13;
non  disaster  preparedness  school.  It  is  recommended  for  disaster  preparedness &#13;
school  to  keep  its  preparedness  and  for  non  disaster  preparedness  school  to &#13;
improve its preparedness to face earthquake and tsunami disaster. &#13;
