Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan neurajah dalam persepsi masyarakat Gampong Seumantok, Kecamatan Pante Ceureumen, Kabupaten Aceh Barat, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah masyarakat asli Gampong Seumantok, Aceh Barat. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 11 informan. Data yang diperoleh mencakup berbagai tanggapan atau ungkapan masyarakat terkait pemahaman, pengetahuan, keyakinan, dan pengalaman masyarakat terhadap neurajah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa neurajah merupakan metode pengobatan tradisional berbasis doa yang diyakini dapat menyembuhkan penyakit. Persepsi masyarakat Gampong Seumantok, Aceh Barat terhadap neurajah dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain: (1) faktor pengalaman pribadi, masyarakat percaya bahwa neurajah memiliki kekuatan dan penyembuhan nyata; (2) faktor sosial-budaya, kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap neurajah diwariskan secara turun-temurun dari keluarga dan lingkungannya; dan (3) faktor keterbatasan akses terhadap fasilitas kesehatan, sehingga neurajah menjadi pilihan utama sebagai pertolongan pertama untuk pengoabatan. Terdapat variasi kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap neurajah, yakni: (1) kepercayaan penuh, (2) percaya karena mengikuti tradisi, dan (3) sikap netral, yakni tidak sepenuhnya percaya tetapi juga tidak meragukannya.

This study aims to describe neurajah in the perception of the people of Gampong Seumantok, Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh Regency, using qualitative descriptive method. The subject of this research is the native people of Gampong Seumantok, West Aceh. The informants in this study amounted to 11 informants. The data obtained includes various responses or expressions of the community related to the understanding, knowledge, beliefs, and experiences of the community towards neurajah. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation and interviews. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that neurajah is a traditional prayer-based treatment method believed to cure diseases. The perception of the people of Gampong Seumantok, West Aceh towards neurajah is influenced by several factors, including: (1) personal experience factors, people believe that neurajah has real power and healing; (2) socio-cultural factors, people's belief in neurajah is passed down from generation to generation from their family and environment; and (3) factors of limited access to health facilities, so neurajah is the first choice as first aid for treatment. There are variations in the community's belief in neurajah, namely: (1) full trust, (2) trust because they follow tradition, and (3) a neutral attitude, which is not fully trusting but also not doubting it.
