Penelitian ini berjudul ”Kemampuan Berbicara Siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar”. Masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu, bagaimanakah kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar dalam topik bercerita. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar dalam topik bercerita. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SD Negeri 3 Neuheun dan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar sebanyak 20 orang. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui teknik tes keterampilan berbicara siswa. Penganalisian data menggunakan teknik kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar dalam topik bercerita mendapatkan nilai 72 dan termasuk kategori baik. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan berbicara siswa yang diperoleh secara khusus dari berbagai aspek (1) aspek kelancaran berbicara dalam topik bercerita mendapatkan nilai 61 termasuk kategori cukup, (2) aspek intonasi berbicara dalam topik bercerita mendapatkan nilai 91 termasuk kategori sangat baik, (3) aspek isi cerita mendapatkan nilai 76 termasuk kategori baik, dan (4) aspek ekspresi mendapatkan nilai 72 termasuk kategori baik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar sudah dalam kategori baik.

Under the guidance of Dr. Ramli, M.Pd., dan Armia, S.Pd., M.Hum. This research is titled "The Speaking Ability of Class IV Students at SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar". The problem in this research is, what is the speaking ability of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar on the topic of storytelling. The aim of this research is to describe the speaking abilities of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar on the topic of storytelling. The population of this study were students at SD Negeri 3 Neuheun and the sample for this research was 20 students from grade IV at SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar. This research data was collected through student speaking skill test techniques. Data analysis uses quantitative techniques. The research results showed that the speaking ability of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar on the topic of storytelling got a score of 72 and was in the good category. The average score of students' speaking ability obtained specifically from various aspects (1) the speaking fluency aspect in the storytelling topic got a score of 61, including the fair category, (2) the intonation aspect of speaking in the storytelling topic got a score of 91, including the very good category, (3) the story content aspect got a score of 76, including the good category, and (4) the expression aspect got a score of 72, including the good category. The conclusion of this research is that the speaking ability of class IV students at SD Negeri 3 Neuheun, Aceh Besar is in the good category. Keywords: ability, speak, student.
