Masyarakat di Gampong Lam Asan Kecamatan Darussalam, Kabupaten Aceh Besar belum semua memahami makna dari kesetaraan gender sehingga perspektif istri pada masyarakat tentang kesetaraan gender juga dipahami secara berbeda dari satu individu dengan individu lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman dan kendala perempuan terhadap kesetaraan gender bidang kontruksi sosial di Gampong Lam Asan Kecamatan Darussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dengan melihat bagaimana kontruksi sosial dalam pemahaman kesetaraan gender pada masyarakat yang terjadi di Gampong Lam Asan Kecamatan Darussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Analisis data dilakukan melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kontruksi sosial gender pada masyarakat sulit untuk diubah, hal ini dikarenakan kebiasaan-kebiasaan yang sudah ada di dalam masyarakat sehingga pelaksanaannya sesuai apa yang sudah biasa dilakukan sehari-hari. Nilai-nilai kesetaraan Gender di Gampong Lam Asan masih terdapat ketidakadilan gender yang terletak pada beban kerja ganda. Kendala perempuan Gampong Lam Asan Kecamatan Darussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar dalam memahami kontruksi sosial gender disebabkan oleh rendahnya pendidikan masyarakat pada umunya yang mengakibatkan masyarakat kesulitan dalam memahami kontruksi sosial gender baik dari segi pengetahuan ataupun penerapannya serta belum adanya aturan khusus mengenai gender.

This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. descriptive research. Data collection was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques by looking at how social construction in uderstanding gender equality of the community that occurs in Gampong Lam Asan, Darussalam District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Besar. Data analysis was carried out through a process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the social construction of gender in society is difficult to change; this is due to the habits that already exist in society so that the implementation is in accordance with what has been done daily. that has been done every day. Gender equality values in Gampong Lam Asan: There is still gender injustice, which lies in the double workload. double workload.
