Prarancangan pabrik Fatty Acid ini menggunakan crude palm oil (CPO) sebagai bahan baku. Pabrik dirancang untuk memproduksi fatty acid menggunakan reaktor hidrolisis dengan jenis fat splitting, serta berlangsung pada fase cair-cair, reversible, endotermis, non-isothermal pada suhu 250oC dan tekanan 54 bar, sehingga untuk menjaga suhu reaksi digunakan saturated steam yang berasal dari boiler. Kapasitas produksi pabrik ini adalah 47.000 ton/tahun dengan hari kerja 330 hari/tahun. Bentuk perusahaan yang direncanakan adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan menggunakan metode struktur garis dan staf. Kebutuhan tenaga kerja untuk menjalankan perusahaan ini berjumlah 130 orang. Lokasi pabrik direncanakan didirikan di Pangkalan Sesai Kecamatan Dumai Barat, kota Dumai, Riau dengan luas tanah 16.525 m2. Sumber air pabrik Fatty Acid ini berasal dari Sungai Siak, sedangkan listrik diperoleh dari Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) dan Generator dengan daya 254,00 kW.
Hasil analisis ekonomi yang diperoleh adalah sebagai berikut :

2. Working Capital Investment (WCI) = Rp. 552.138.189.978
3. Total Capital Investment (TCI) = Rp. 3.680.921.266.521
4. Total Production Cost (TPC) = Rp. 1.505.529.233.540
5. Sales Cost (SC) = Rp. 2.693.994.049.338
6. Laba Bersih = Rp. 927.002.556.322
7. POT = 5 tahun
8. Break Event Point (BEP) = 22 %
9. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 24 %
10. Rate Of Return (ROR) = 32 %

The preliminary design of this Fatty Acid plant uses crude palm oil (CPO) as the raw material. The plant is designed to produce fatty acid using a hydrolysis reactor of the fat-splitting type, operating in a liquid-liquid phase, reversible, endothermic, and non-isothermal at a temperature of 250°C and a pressure of 54 bar. To maintain the reaction temperature, saturated steam from a boiler is utilized. The production capacity of this plant is 47,000 tons per year with 330 working days per year. The planned business entity is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line-and-staff structure method. The workforce required to operate this company amounts to 130 personnel. The plant is planned to be established in Pangkalan Sesai, West Dumai District, Dumai City, Riau, covering a land area of 16,525 m². The water source for this Fatty Acid plant comes from the Siak River, while electricity is supplied by the State Electricity Company (PLN) and a generator with a capacity of 254.00 kW.
