Mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum Universitas Syiah Kuala, meskipun memiliki latar belakang akademik di bidang hukum, kurang mengikuti perkembangan partai politik lokal Aceh, memahami program kerja partai, dan sering mengalami kesulitan memahami informasi kampanye yang disampaikan. Sebagai generasi muda, mahasiswa membawa persepsi dan ide- ide segar yang inovatif mengenai politik, memberikan pandangan yang berbeda terhadap partai politik lokal di Aceh. Keberagaman latar belakang mahasiswa fakultas hukum memungkinkan mereka untuk memberikan gambaran yang lebih komprehensif tentang dinamika politik dan sosial di Aceh. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana persepsi Mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum Universitas Syiah Kuala angkatan 2021-2023 terhadap partai politik lokal Aceh dalam Pemilu 2024? Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif analisis deskriptif dengan teknik persentase, rata-rata, dan standar deviasi untuk menggambarkan distribusi data. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap partai politik lokal Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori partisipasi politik dan teori persepsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi Mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum Universitas Syiah Kuala angkatan 2021-2023 terhadap partai politik lokal Aceh tergolong positif, dengan skor rata-rata (mean) 3,77 dalam kategori positif (interval 3,43-4,23). Hipotesis H1 diterima, sementara H0 ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan pandangan mahasiswa yang baik terhadap partai politik lokal Aceh, yang dianggap sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan ekspektasi mereka.

Law Faculty students at Syiah Kuala University, despite their academic background in law, tend to lack awareness of the development of local political parties in Aceh, understanding of party work programs, and often face difficulties in comprehending campaign information. As young people, students bring fresh and innovative ideas regarding politics, offering a different perspective on local political parties in Aceh. The diversity of the students’ backgrounds allows them to provide a more comprehensive overview of the political and social dynamics in Aceh. The research problem is formulated as follows: What are the perceptions of Law Faculty students at Syiah Kuala University (2021-2023 cohort) towards local political parties in Aceh in the 2024 election? This study employs a quantitative descriptive analysis method using percentage, mean, and standard deviation techniques to describe data distribution. The research aims to understand the students’ perceptions of local political parties in Aceh. The study applies the theory of political participation and the theory of perception. The findings reveal that the perception of Law Faculty students at Syiah Kuala University (2021-2023 cohort) towards local political parties in Aceh is generally positive, with an average score (mean) of 3.77, which falls into the positive category (interval 3.43–4.23). The hypothesis H1 is accepted, while H0 is rejected. This indicates a favorable view among students towards local political parties in Aceh, which are considered aligned with their needs and expectations.
