Magang ini bertujuan untuk untuk memperkenalkan dan menumbuhkan kemampuan mahasiswa/i dalam dunia kerja secara nyata serta meninjau beberapa tinjauan yang diberikan oleh dosen pembimbing. Latar belakang dari asrama mahasiswa ini merupakan bangunan yang fungsi utamanya adalah tempat tinggal sementara mahasiswa yang berasal dari luar kota atau daerah yang jauh dari kampus dengan sarana lingkungan untuk melengkapinya, seperti sarana untuk belajar, makan, olahraga dan kegiatan lainnya yang bersifat pembinaan dan pengembangan baik secara akademik maupun non akademik. Proyek ini merupakan proyek milik Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang Aceh Barat Daya. Lokasi Proyek Pembangunan Asrama Mahasiswa Suak Setia (HIMAPES) ini berada di Aceh Besar, tepatnya di Kecamatan Blang Krueng, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Lokasi proyek cukup strategis dan mudah dijangkau oleh Mahasiswa Aceh Barat Daya.
Metodologi yang digunakan dalam magang ini adalah observasi langsung terhadap kegiatan konstruksi di lapangan, wawancara dengan para ahli di proyek tersebut, serta analisis terhadap penggunaan HIMAPES tersebut, seperti tinjauan khusus yang telah diberikan oleh dosen pembimbing. Hasil dari kegiatan magang ini yaitu dapat mengetahui volume kolom K1 lantai 2, dapat mengetahui kebutuhan material pada kolom K1 lantai 2, dapat mengetahui kebutuhan pembesian pada plat lantai 2 segmen 1, dapat menambah wawasan pengetahuan dalam pelaksanaan keselamatan konstuksi pada pembangunan asrama mahasiswa Suak Setia. Tujuan magang ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang penerapan teori di dunia industri serta meningkatkan keterampilan teknis dan komunikasi yang penting dalam pekerjaan di bidang konstruksi.

This internship aims to introduce and develop students' abilities in the real world of work as well as review several reviews given by the supervisor. This project is a project belonging to the Southwest Aceh Public Works and Spatial Planning Service. The location of the Suak Setia Student Dormitory Development Project (HIMAPES) is in Aceh Besar, precisely in Blang Krueng District, Aceh Besar Regency. The project location is quite strategic and easy to reach for Southwest Aceh Students. The methodology used in this internship is direct observation of construction activities in the field, interviews with experts on the project, as well as analysis of the use of HIMAPES, such as a special review given by the supervisor. The results of this internship activity are being able to find out the volume of column K1 on the 2nd floor, being able to know the material requirements for column K1 on the 2nd floor, being able to find out the need for reinforcement on the 2nd floor plate, segment 1, being able to increase knowledge in implementing construction safety in the construction of the Suak Setia student dormitory. The aim of this internship is to provide a deeper understanding of the application of theory in the industrial world as well as improve technical and communication skills that are important in work in the construction sector.
