ABSTRACT Intensive care in ICUs has a fairly high mortality percentage worldwide ranging from 9-61%. Data analysis using clinical parameters is useful for predicting mortality, so that early management can be provided so that mortality can be reduced. The mortality probability model (MPM) is a statistical model to predict mortality in ICU patients based on various specific clinical variables. This study aims to determine the significance of MPM as a predictor of mortality in intensive care. This study is a diagnostic study. All data were carried out by Chi-Squared test with an alternative Fisher test. The difference in the percentage of MPM II to mortality was tested using an independent sample t-test with the Mann Whitney U test. A total of 255 patients were the subjects of the study. A total of 55 subjects who died showed an MPM II score of >50% with sensitivity of 67.9%, specificity of 90.23%, positive presumption value of 76.39%, negative presumption value of 86.7% and accuracy of 83.14%. Based on ROC analysis, it is known that the AUC is 0.891. This study concluded that the MPM II score showed an accuracy value of 83.14%.
