Penurunan massa otot yang terjadi pada lansia menyebabkan penurunan status
fungsional dan akan memengaruhi fungsi kognitif mereka, sehingga meningkatkan
tingkat stres, kecemasan, dan depresi, yang akan berdampak negatif pada kemampuan
mereka dalam menjalani aktivitas sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui gambaran status fungsional, fungsi kognitif, dan tingkat stres pada lansia
di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Darussalam, Aceh Besar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah
deskriptif dengan desain cross-sectional study. Populasi penelitian adalah 2.083 lansia
di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Darussalam Aceh Besar. Teknik pengambilan sampel
probability sampling berjumlah 335 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk status
fungsional yaitu Indekz katz, fungsi kognitif menggunakan SLUMS, dan untuk tingkat
stress menggunakan DASS 42. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terpimpin. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar lansia memiliki status fungsional yang
tergolong mandiri, dengan 319 orang (95,2%). Fungsi kognitif, normal 141 lansia
(42,1%), Tingkat stres, mayoritas lansia berada dalam kategori normal sebanyak 305
orang (91,0%), Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran mengenai
kondisi lansia di wilayah Puskesmas Darussalam Aceh Besar dalam aspek fungsional,
kognitif dan stress, untuk pemahaman lebih lanjut mengenai kebutuhan lansia,
Sehingga dapat menjadi dasar dalam merancang program yang lebih tepat untuk
mendukung kesejahteraan lansia di daerah tersebut.

PICTURE OF FUNCTIONAL STATUS, COGNITIVE FUNCTION AND STRESS LEVEL IN THE ELDERLY IN THE WORK AREA OF DARUSSALAM ACEH BESAR COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER ABSTRACT The decline in muscle mass experienced by elderly individuals leads to a decrease in functional status, which affects their cognitive function. This, in turn, increases levels of stress, anxiety, and depression, negatively impacting their ability to perform daily activities. This study aimed to describe the functional status, cognitive function, and stress levels among the elderly in the working area of Darussalam Community Health Center, Aceh Besar. The research employed a descriptive method with a cross-sectional study design. The study population consisted of 2,083 elderly individuals in the working area, with a sample of 335 respondents selected using probability sampling techniques. The instruments used included the Katz Index for functional status, SLUMS (Saint Louis University Mental Status) for cognitive function, and DASS-42 (Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale) for stress levels. Data were collected through guided interviews. The findings indicated that the majority of elderly respondents were categorized as independent in functional status, with 319 individuals(95,2%). Regarding cognitive function, 141 respondents (42,1%) exhibited normal cognitive levels. In terms of stress, the majority of the elderly were in the normal category, with 305 individuals (91,0%). This study provided insights into the functional, cognitive, and stress conditions of the elderly in the Darussalam Community Health Center area, offering a basis for understanding their needs. These findings are expected to guide the development of more tailored programs to support the well-being of the elderly in the region.
