Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) merupakan gejala yang umum diderita pria lansia dan paling sering disebabkan karena pembesaran prostat. LUTS dapat menimbulkan ketidaknyamanan fisik, gangguan psikis, dan gangguan fungsi sosial, yang akan menurunkan kualitas hidup pasien. Semakin buruk derajat LUTS maka semakin sering gejala dirasakan pasien yang menyebabkan kualitas hidup pasien semakin buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara derajat LUTS pada pasien pembesaran prostat dengan kualitas hidup. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitan analitik observasional dengan desain cross sectional, yang dilakukan di poliklinik urologi RSUDZA dan RS Harapan Bunda, pada 17 September-6 November 2024 dengan sampel sebesar 39 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skor IPSS untuk mengukur derajat LUTS, dan skor BII untuk mengukur kualitas hidup pasien. Pada penelitian ini didapat mayoritas responden mengalami LUTS derajat sedang dan responden mengalami rasa terganggu yang muncul karena LUTS. Uji korelasi spearman dilakukan pada penelitian ini dan ditemukan hubungan kuat yang bermakna secara statistik antara derajat LUTS dengan kualitas hidup. (r=0,581).

Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) is a collection of symptoms commonly found in elderly man and most commonly caused by prostate enlargement. LUTS can cause physical discomfort, psychological disorder, and impaired social function. The worse the degree of LUTS, the more frequent patient experience symptoms, which will worsens patient’s quality of life even further. This research aims to determine wether or not there’s correlation between degree of LUTS in patient with prostate enlargement and quality of life. This research is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design that takes place in RSUDZA and RS Harapan Bunda’s urology polyclinic on September 17-November 6 2024 with 39 sample. Instruments used in this research are IPSS score to measure degree of LUTS and BII score to measure quality of life. In this research it’s found that majority of respondent experiences medium degree of LUTS and experience bothersomeness caused by LUTS. Spearman correlation is performed in this study and It’s found that there’s a statisticlly significant strong correlation between degree of LUTS and quality of life (r=0,581).
