Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan prinsip etika lingkungan dan dimensi
tekstual dalam film dokumenter Pulau Plastik. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori
etika lingkungan yang dikemukakan Sonny Keraf dengan memanfaatkan perspektif
Norman Fairclough untuk melihat dimensi tekstual. Penelitian ini merujuk pada
pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data dalam
penelitian ini adalah film dokumenter Pulau Plastik. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah
adegan dan dialog para aktor yang terdapat pada film dokumenter Pulau Plastik.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan prinsip etika lingkungan
sebanyak tujuh prinsip, yaitu prinsip hormat terhadap alam, prinsip tanggung jawab,
prinsip solidaritas, prinsip kasih sayang dan peduli terhadap alam, prinsip keadilan,
prinsip demokrasi, prinsip integritas moral. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh pada
bagian prinsip etika lingkungan secara keseluruhan didasari oleh teori biosentrisme.
Sebagian hasil data dari prinsip etika lingkungan dalam film dokumenter Pulau
Plastik memiliki dimensi tekstual model Fairclough, ditandai dengan adanya dimensi
tekstual unsur representasi dan relasi.

Under the guidance of Dr. Ramli, M.Pd., and Dr. Budi Arianto, M.A This study aims to describe the principles of environmental ethics and textual dimensions in the documentary film Pulau Plastik. This study uses the theory of environmental ethics proposed by Sonny Keraf by utilizing Norman Fairclough's perspective to see the textual dimensions. This study refers to a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The data source in this study is the documentary film Pulau Plastik. The data in this study are the scenes and dialogues of the actors in the documentary film Pulau Plastik. The results of this study indicate that there are seven principles of environmental ethics, namely the principle of respect for nature, the principle of responsibility, the principle of solidarity, the principle of compassion and care for nature, the principle of justice, the principle of democracy, the principle of moral integrity. The results of the study obtained in the section on environmental ethics principles as a whole are based on the theory of biocentrism. Some of the data results from the principles of environmental ethics in the documentary film Pulau Plastik have Fairclough's textual model dimensions, marked by the presence of textual dimensions of elements of representation and relation.
