Kopi robusta (Coffea canephora) merupakan salah satu jenis kopi yang paling
banyak ditanam oleh petani di Indonesia yang populer di kalangan masyarakat
sebagai minuman kopi yang merupakan hasil olahan biji kopi yang dijadikan bubuk
kopi. Pengolahan kopi menghasilkan limbah berupa kulit kopi yang dilaporkan
memiliki manfaat dari senyawa yang terkandung di dalamnya akan tetapi banyak
masyarakat yang belum melirik hal tersebut dan limbah kulit kopi yang diperoleh
biasanya digunakan sebagai pakan ternak dan pupuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui aktivitas farmakologi dari kulit buah kopi robusta berdasarkan studi
literatur serta mengetahui kandungan senyawa dari kulit buah kopi robusta yang
berpotensi sebagai aktivitas farmakologi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode
Systematic Literature Review menggunakan database Google Scholar dengan rentang
tahun 2014-2023 dan pengambilan data dilakukan melalui metode PRISMA
(Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-analytic). Hasil dari
analisis artikel diperoleh sebanyak 296 artikel yang kemudian diidentifikasi sesuai
dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi sehingga diperoleh 18 artikel yang memenuhi
kriteria. Aktivitas farmakologi kulit buah kopi robusta dilaporkan berdasarkan
analisa artikel yang didapatkan yaitu yaitu antioksidan, antibakteri, antidiare, dan anti
nyamuk (repellent). Kandungan senyawa yang terdapat pada kulit buah kopi robusta
yaitu alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, antosianin, fenolik, polifenol dan pektin.
Kesimpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah aktivitas farmakologi kulit buah
kopi robusta yang dilaporkan terbanyak pada rentang tahun 2014-2023 yaitu
antioksidan.

Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora) is one of the most widely grown types of coffee by farmers in Indonesia which is popular among the public as a coffee drink which is the result of processed coffee beans into coffee grounds. Coffee processing produces waste in the form of coffee pulp which is reported to have benefits from the compounds contained in it but many people have not looked at it and the coffee pulp is usually used as animal feed and fertilizer. This study aims to determine the pharmacological activity of robusta coffee pulp based on literature studies and determine the content of compounds from robusta coffee pulp that have potential pharmacological activity. The research was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review method using the Google Scholar database with a range of years 2014-2023 and data retrieval was carried out through the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-analytic) method. The results of the article analysis obtained as many as 296 articles which were then identified according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria so that 18 articles were obtained that met the criteria. The pharmacological activity of robusta coffee pulp is reported based on the analysis of articles obtained, namely antioxidants, antibacterial, antidiarrheal, and mosquito repellent. The content of compounds found in robusta coffee pulp is alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, saponin, anthocyanin, phenolic, polyphenol and pectin. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the pharmacological activity of robusta coffee pulp which is reported the most in 2014-2023 is antioxidant.
