Etika sosial adalah kumpulan norma dan nilai yang mengatur interaksi antar individu dalam
masyarakat. Di SMK-PP Negeri Bireuen, terdapat indikasi bahwa etika sosial siswa masih
rendah, ditunjukkan melalui perilaku yang tidak sopan, kurangnya penghargaan terhadap
guru, dan kesulitan dalam berinteraksi sosial. Faktor lokasi sekolah di pinggiran kota dan
keberagaman latar belakang siswa turut berkontribusi pada masalah ini. Oleh karena itu,
diperlukan upaya dari pihak sekolah, terutama guru, untuk meningkatkan etika sosial
siswa. Rendahnya etika sosial siswa di SMK-PP Negeri Bireuen menimbulkan berbagai
dampak negatif, seperti konflik antar siswa, penurunan prestasi akademik, dan tingginya
angka perilaku negatif. Fenomena ini menunjukkan perlunya intervensi dari guru untuk
memperbaiki etika sosial siswa. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini: Untuk mengetahui upaya guru
dalam meningkatkan etika sosial siswa di SMK-PP Negeri Bireuen. Penelitian ini
menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui
wawancara dengan guru. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua guru agama, satu guru BK,
Wakil Kepala Sekolah Bidang Kesiswaan, dan dua guru senior di SMK-PP Negeri Bireuen.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya guru dalam meningkatkan etika sosial siswa
dilakukan melalui berbagai strategi. Pertama, guru memberikan contoh perilaku etis dalam
interaksi sehari-hari. Kedua, nilai-nilai moral dan etika diintegrasikan dalam setiap mata
pelajaran melalui diskusi kelas, studi kasus, dan cerita yang mengandung pesan moral.
Ketiga, penguatan nilai-nilai positif seperti kerjasama, tanggung jawab, dan kejujuran
dilakukan melalui program pendidikan karakter dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Keempat,
guru memberikan umpan balik konstruktif yang spesifik dan mendidik ketika siswa
menunjukkan perilaku yang tidak sesuai. Terakhir, keterlibatan orang tua dan komunitas
dalam mendukung pembinaan karakter siswa juga memainkan peran penting. Upaya guru
ini terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif dan harmonis,
meskipun masih terdapat tantangan yang perlu diatasi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini
adalah pentingnya pendekatan holistik yang melibatkan seluruh komunitas sekolah untuk
meningkatkan etika sosial siswa di SMK-PP Negeri Bireuen.

Social ethics is a set of norms and values that regulate interactions between individuals within society. At SMK-PP Negeri Bireuen, there are indications that students' social ethics are still low, as evidenced by impolite behavior, lack of respect for teachers, and difficulties in social interaction. The school's location on the outskirts of the city and the diverse backgrounds of the students contribute to this problem. Therefore, efforts are needed from the school, particularly from teachers, to improve students' social ethics. The low social ethics of students at SMK-PP Negeri Bireuen have resulted in various negative impacts, such as conflicts between students, a decline in academic performance, and a high incidence of negative behavior. This phenomenon highlights the need for teacher intervention to improve students' social ethics. The aim of this research is to understand the efforts of teachers in enhancing students' social ethics at SMK-PP Negeri Bireuen. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, classroom and extracurricular activity observations, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of two religious teachers, one guidance and counseling teacher, the Deputy Principal of Student Affairs, and two senior teachers at SMK-PP Negeri Bireuen. The results of the research show that teachers' efforts to improve students' social ethics are carried out through various strategies. First, teachers provide examples of ethical behavior in daily interactions. Second, moral and ethical values are integrated into every subject through class discussions, case studies, and stories with moral messages. Third, the reinforcement of positive values such as cooperation, responsibility, and honesty is conducted through character education programs and extracurricular activities. Fourth, teachers provide specific and educational constructive feedback when students display inappropriate behavior. Finally, the involvement of parents and the community in supporting the character development of students also plays an important role. These teacher efforts have proven effective in creating a conducive and harmonious learning environment, although challenges still need to be addressed. The conclusion of this study is the importance of a holistic approach involving the entire school community to enhance students' social ethics at SMK-PP Negeri Bireuen.
