<note>This is a library research which is intended to look at some given theories by the experts on the use of Think Pair Share technique in teaching reading comprehension. Reading is one of the four of English language skills which needs an effective technique in order to comprehend reading text. Students do not comprehend texts because they are not motivated in learning reading and they have lack in understanding the text’s genre. To solve the problems, teachers should apply an appropriate technique to improve students’ reading comprehension. Cooperative Learning by using Think Pair Share technique is a good alternative to improve students’ reading comprehension since it initiates teaching learning activities by asking a question in which the students are asked to think the answer of question, and then look for pairs to help each other and finish with a variety of answers to the whole class (Zanah 2007).</note>
