Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecemasan siswa saat melakukan presentasi lisan dalam kelas bahasa Inggris di SMA Labschool USK. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan observasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara, penelitian ini melibatkan 34 siswa untuk kuesioner, 10 siswa untuk observasi, dan 5 siswa untuk wawancara. Mayoritas siswa menunjukkan tanda-tanda kecemasan, seperti ekspresi wajah yang cemas, tangan yang gemetar, dan suara yang bergetar ketika berbicara di depan umum. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa para siswa menunjukkan bahasa tubuh yang defensif dan membuat kesalahan tata bahasa, yang semakin mengindikasikan ketidaknyamanan. Hasil kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan pribadi lebih dominan daripada situasi presentasi itu sendiri, dengan tingkat kecemasan siswa mencapai 67,68% dibandingkan dengan 40,27% pada kecemasan berbicara di depan umum. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa gangguan di dalam kelas dan reaksi teman sekelas mempengaruhi kenyamanan dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya memahami faktor internal dan sosial yang mempengaruhi kecemasan berbicara di depan umum.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sofyan A. Gani, M.A. and Diana, S.Pd., M.Ed. This study aims to investigate students' anxiety levels when presenting oral presentations in English classes at Labschool USK High School. Using a qualitative approach with observation, questionnaires, and interviews, the study involved 34 students for the questionnaire, 10 for observation, and 5 of them for interviews. The majority of students showed signs of anxiety, such as anxious facial expressions, trembling hands, and a quivering voice when speaking in public. Observations revealed that students exhibited defensive body language and made grammatical errors, further indicating discomfort. Gender differences were evident, as all students who volunteered to come forward were female.Questionnaire results showed that personal anxiety was more dominant than the presentation situation itself, with students' anxiety levels reaching 67.68% compared to 40.27% on public speaking anxiety. Interviews revealed that classroom distractions and classmates' reactions affected students' comfort and confidence. These findings emphasize the importance of understanding the internal and social factors that influence public speaking anxiety. Keywords: Presentation, Public speaking anxiety, Social anxiety
