Kebakaran adalah kejadian yang mengakibatkan kerugian berupa materi atau non materi. Hotel Ayani cukup terkenal di daerah Banda Aceh karena terletak di daerah yang cukup strategis tepatnya di pusatkota Banda Aceh. Tujuan penelitian untuk menilai kondisi bangunan gedung hoteltersebut terhadap bahaya kebakaran. Lingkup penelitian ini dibatasi pada komponen pengamanan bangunan gedung terhadap bahaya kebakaran yaitu perencanaan tapak, sarana penyelamatan, sistem proteksi pasif dan aktif. Data primer berupa isian checklist. Data sekunder berupa gambar bangunan gedung Hotel Diana tersebut dan Keputusan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum Nomor 26/PRT/M/2008. Analisis data terdiri dari analisis deskriptif (kualitatif), Hasilnya, untuk variabel tapak bangunan dan sistem proteksi aktif, di terima yang berarti persentase kesesuaiannya berada di atas 50% dari ketentuan teknis. Sedangkan untuk variabel sarana penyelamatan dan sistem proteksi pasif, diterima yang berarti persentase kesesuaiannya telah mencapai 50% dari ketentuan teknis. Hasil perhitungan proporsi untuk variabel tapak bangunan sebesar 75%, variabel sarana penyelamatan sebesar 50,00%, sistem proteksi pasif sebesar 75% dan sistem proteksi aktif sebesar 100%. Hasil perhitungan proporsi secara keseluruhan sebesar 72,5%. Maka kondisi pengamanan bangunan gedung terhadap bahaya kebakaran pada Hotel Ayani termasuk zona B dengan kategori kondisi Baik.

Fire is an incident that results in loss in the form of material or non-material. Ayani Hotel is quite famous in the Banda Aceh area because it is located in a quite strategic area, precisely in the center of Banda Aceh. The aim of the research is to assess the condition of the hotel building regarding fire hazards. The scope of this research is limited to building security components against fire hazards, namely site planning, rescue facilities, passive and active protection systems. Primary data is in the form of checklist entries. Secondary data consists of pictures of the Hotel Diana building and Decree of the Minister of Public Works Number 26/PRT/M/2008. Data analysis consists of descriptive (qualitative) analysis. The results, for the building site and active protection system variables, were accepted, which means the percentage of conformity is above 50% of the technical provisions. Meanwhile, for the variable rescue facilities and passive protection systems, it is accepted, which means the percentage of conformity has reached 50% of the technical provisions. The results of the proportion calculation for the building footprint variable are 75%, the rescue facilities variable is 50.00%, the passive protection system is 75% and the active protection system is 100%. The overall proportion calculation result was 72.5%. So the condition of building security against fire hazards at the Ayani Hotel is included in zone B with the Good condition category.
