ABSTRAK

Brucellosis merupakan penyakit infeksius disebabkan oleh bakteri genus brucella yang merupakan mikroorganisme intraseluler dan bersifat zoonosis. Brucellosis pada sapi disebabkan oleh brucella abortus yang dapat menyebabkan sapi mengalami abortus. Tujuan dilakukan pengujian ini untuk mendeteksi adanya antibodi brucella abortus pada sapi jantan dan betina dewasa di UPTD IBI Saree, Gampong Suka Damai, Kecamatan Lembah Seulawah, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Sampel yang digunakan pada pengujian ini adalah darah sapi aceh yang diambil sebanyak 20 sampel darah dari 20 sapi. Koleksi sampel darah dilakukan dengan menggunakan spuit melalui vena jugularis dan kemudian dimasukkan kedalam tabung vacutainer tube tanpa berisi Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid (EDTA). Darah didiamkan pada suhu kamar sampai terbentuk serum, serum yang telah didapatkan dimasukkan ke dalam microtube dan dibawa dalam wadah icebox ke Laboratorium untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan. Pengujian ini dilakukan di UPTD Laboratorium Veteriner Dinas Peternakan Aceh. Metode pemeriksaan dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji serologis yaitu Rose Bengal Test (RBT). Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan seropositif pada 19 sampel serum sapi dari 20 sampel serum yang diperiksa, dengan persentase sebesar 95%. Hasil positif uji Rose Bengal Test (RBT) ditandai dengan aglutinasi yang tampak seperti butiran pasir berwarna merah muda. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa serum sapi di UPTD IBI Saree positif infeksi brucella.

Brucellosis in cattle is caused by brucella abortus which can cause cows to experience abortion. The aim of this test is to detect the presence of Brucella abortus antibodies in adult male and female cattle at UPTD IBI Saree, Gampong Suka Damai, Kecamtan Lembah Selawah, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. The sample used in this test was blood from Acehnese cattle which was taken from 20 blood samples from 20 cattle. Blood samples were collected using a syringe through the jugular vein and then inserted into a vacutainer tube without containing Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid (EDTA). The blood is left at room temperature until serum is formed. The serum obtained is put into a microtube and taken in an icebox container to the laboratory for examination. This test was carried out at the UPTD Laboratorium Veteriner Dinas Peternakan Aceh. The examination method is carried out using a serological test, namely the Rose Bengal Test (RBT). The examination results showed seropositivity in 19 bovine serum samples out of 20 serum samples examined with a percentage of 95%. A positive Rose Bengal Test (RBT) result is characterized by agglutination that looks like pink grains of sand. It can be concluded that it is positive for Brucella infection.
