ABSTRAK

​Gangguan pada saluran urinaria merupakan salah satu dari berbagai masalah yang dapat terjadi pada hewan kesayangan, terutama kucing. Urolithiasis, gagal ginjal, infeksi saluran kencing merupakan contoh gangguan pada saluran urinaria yang kerap menjadi masalah pada kucing. Komposisi dan cara pemberian pakan yang kurang tepat dapat menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan nutrisi dalam tubuh kucing tersebut. Pakan yang kurang tepat dapat berpengaruh terhadap tingkat keasaman (pH) urine, volume urin, dan konsentrasi urin yang dapat menyebabkan terbentuknya mineral berlebihan pada urin. Kucing Mino dilakukan pemasangan kateter urin ukuran 3 1/2 Fr dan dilakukan flushing menggunakan NaCl fisiologis 0,9%. Kucing Mino juga diberikan pemasangan infus menggunakan NaCl yang telah dicampurkan 0,5ml hematodin dan 0,5ml biodin. Hewan diresepkan obat berupa antibiotik ciprofloxacin 5mg/kg q12h dengan jumlah pemberian 14mg q12h, Sonchi folium 125mg, Orthosiphonis folium 125mg diberikan 1/2 tablet per hari selama 7 hari. Pakan diganti menggunakan pakan urinary (Canin Royal Urinary Care) selama 6 bulan. Kesimpulan kegiatan ini dari hasil pemeriksaan fisik dan tanda klinis, kucing mino didiagnosis mengalami Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease. Dengan terapi yang diberikan selama 1 minggu masih ditemukan pada sedimen urin positif FLUTD sehingga diberikan terapi lanjutan. Pada hari ke – 24 sedimen urin diuji kembali, dan urin sudah negative FLUTD.

ABSTRACT ​Urinary tract disorders are one of the various problems that can occur in beloved animals, especially cats. Urolithiasis, kidney failure, urinary tract infections are examples of disorders of the urinary tract that often become problems in cats. Improper composition and method of feeding can cause nutritional imbalances in the cat's body. Inappropriate feed can affect the acidity level (pH) of urine, urine volume and urine concentration which can cause excessive mineral formation in the urine. The mino cat had a 3 1/2 Fr urinary catheter installed and flushed using 0.9% physiological NaCl. The mino cat was also given an infusion using NaCl mixed with 0.5ml hematodin and 0.5ml biodin. Animals were prescribed medication in the form of antibiotics ciprofloxacin 5mg/kg q12h with a total administration of 14mg q12h, Sonchi folium 125mg, Orthosiphonis folium 125mg given 1/2 tablet per day for 7 days. The feed was replaced using urinary feed (Canin Royal Urinary Care) for 6 months. The conclusion of this activity was from the results of the physical examination and clinical signs, the mino cat was diagnosed as having Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease. With therapy given for 1 week, FLUTD positive urine sediment was still found so further therapy was given. On the 24th day the urine sediment was tested again, and the urine was negative for FLUTD.
