Seni Rupa merupakan salah satu cabang seni dalam bentuk media yang dapat ditangkap oleh indra penikmat, yaitu penglihatan dan perabaan, yang berarti hasil karya seni rupa dapat dinikmati hanya dengan melihat atau menyentuh. Museum seni rupa menjadi wadah untuk karya seni rupa dengan tujuan mengoleksi, mejaga, melestarikan, dan mempublikasikan karya-karya seni rupa sehingga mampu menjadi sarana edukasi dan rekreasi bagi masyarakat. Selain itu museum seni rupa ini dapat menyediakan konsep hiburan seni rupa sebagai trend wisata halal sehingga memebrikan sensasi wisata yang berbeda dengan museum-museum lainnya. Di Aceh sendiri, saat ini belum terdapat museum yang dikhususkan untuk karya-karya seni rupa. Oleh karena itu, karya seni rupa tersebut dapat dikumpulkan menjadi satu melalui sebuah wadah yaitu museum seni rupa. Di tempat tersebut seni rupa Aceh akan di jaga, di lestarikan dan di pamerkan kepada masyarakat luas juga kepada para wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Aceh. Perancangan museum seni rupa ini di lakukan berdasarkan pendekatan dengan tema Arsitektur Simbolis yang mengangkat simbol-simbol yang erat hubungannya dengan seni rupa sehingga bangunan memiliki identitas yang erat dengan prinsip-prinsip seni sehingga sesuai dengan fungsi bangunan tersebut.

Fine Art is one of the branches of art in the form of media that can be captured by the connoisseur's senses, namely sight and touch, which means that works of art can be enjoyed just by seeing or touching. The art museum is a forum for fine art works with the aim of collecting, maintaining, preserving, and publishing works of art so that they can become a means of education and recreation for the community. In addition, this fine art museum can provide the concept of fine art entertainment as a halal tourism trend so that it creates a different tourist sensation from other museums. In Aceh itself, there is currently no museum dedicated to fine arts. Therefore, these works of art can be collected into one through a container, namely a fine art museum. In this place, Acehnese art will be maintained, preserved and exhibited to the wider community as well as to tourists visiting Aceh. The design of this fine art museum is carried out based on an approach with the theme of Symbolic Architecture which raises symbols that are closely related to fine art so that the building has an identity that is closely related to the principles of art so that it is in accordance with the function of the building.
