Telah dilakukan kajian terhadap wilayah Cekungan Sumatera Tengah yang memiliki potensi minyak dan gas bumi, upaya optimalisasi terhadap eksplorasi untuk menemukan wilayah baru yang berpotensi guna mengantisipasi penurunan cadangan energi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi reservoir batupasir pada Cekungan Sumatera Tengah dengan menggunakan metode inversi impedansi akustik. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan data seismik post stack 2D sejumlah 22 line dengan 2 data sumur, yaitu E-1 dan PT-1. Penelitian ini melalui beberapa tahapan seperti well to seismic tie, interpretasi picking horizon, analisis time to depth structure map, initial model dan inversi seismik. Nilai korelasi yang dihasilkan oleh proses well to seismic tie pada sumur E-1 0,51 dan 0,78 PT-1 sedangkan nilai error yang dihasilkan pada analisis pra-inversi yaitu 0,94 pada sumur E-1 dan 0,61 pada sumur PT-1. Berdasarkan analisis inversi impedansi akustik menggunakan model inversi model based diperoleh nilai impedansi akustik pada Formasi Telisa dengan range nilai 2708 (m/s)*(gr/cc) – 6747 (m/s)*(gr/cc). Berdasarkan hasil inversi impedansi akustik, dapat diidentifikasikan bahwa karakteristik reservoir pada Formasi Telisa di Cekungan Sumatera Tengah sebagai batupasir yang berselingan dengan batu serpih yang dihasilkan oleh tinggi rendahnya nilai impedansi akustik.

Studies have been conducted on the Central Sumatra Basin area that has oil and gas potential, optimizing exploration efforts to find new potential areas to anticipate the decline in energy reserves. This study aims to identify sandstone reservoirs in the Central Sumatra Basin using the acoustic impedance inversion method. The data used in this study is 2D post stack seismic data totaling 22 lines with 2 well data, namely E-1 and PT-1. This research goes through several stages such as well to seismic tie, picking horizon interpretation, time to depth structure map analysis, initial model and seismic inversion. The correlation value produced by the well to seismic tie process in the E-1 well is 0.51 and 0.78 PT-1 while the error value produced in the pre-inversion analysis is 0.94 in the E-1 well and 0.61 in the PT-1 well. Based on the analysis of acoustic impedance inversion using a model-based inversion model, the acoustic impedance value in the Telisa Formation is obtained with a value range of 2708 (m/s)*(gr/cc) - 6747 (m/s)*(gr/cc). Based on the results of the acoustic impedance inversion, it can be identified that the reservoir characteristics of the Telisa Formation in the Central Sumatra Basin are sandstones interbedded with shale rocks produced by the high and low acoustic impedance values.
