Analisis butir soal perlu dilakukan untuk menjamin suatu tes memiliki kualitas yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas tes dari soal Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) Bahasa Indonesia kelas VIII SMP Negeri 18 Banda Aceh 2023/2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah 158 lembar hasil jawaban peserta tes. Sampel dalam penelitian menggunakan random sampling dengan jumlah 40 lembar hasil jawaban peserta tes. Pengumpulan data diambil dengan menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga aspek batasan yaitu tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan efektivitas pengecoh pada butir soal secara klasik. Hasil penelitian pada tingkat kesukaran butir soal kategori sedang dengan persentase 47,5%, kategori mudah 45%, dan kategori sukar 7,5%. Pada daya pembeda butir soal kategori jelek dengan persentase 47,5%, kategori sangat baik 7,5%, kategori baik 17,5%, kategori cukup 15%, dan kategori negatif 12,5%. Pada efektivitas pengecoh tergolong berfungsi cukup efektif karena 60% dengan persentase 32,5% berfungsi dengan baik dan 27,5% berfungsi cukup baik, sedangkan 40% pengecoh tidak dapat berfungsi dengan baik dan perlu diganti atau dibuang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, hasil analisis kualitas soal PAS yang dibuat guru Bahasa Indonesia kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 18 Banda Aceh tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 telah memenuhi kriteria sebagai alat tes yang cukup baik.

Question item analysis needs to be done to ensure that a test has good quality. The purpose of this study is to describe the quality of the test of the Indonesian Language Final Semester Assessment (PAS) questions for grade VIII SMP Negeri 18 Banda Aceh 2023/2024. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The population in the study was 158 sheets of test takers' answers. The sample in the study used random sampling with a total of 40 sheets of test participants' answers. Data collection was taken using documentation techniques. The data analysis technique was carried out with three aspects of limitations, namely the level of difficulty, discriminating power, and the effectiveness of deceiving on the question items classically. The results of the study were at the level of difficulty of the medium category questions with a percentage of 47.5%, the easy category 45%, and the difficult category 7.5%. In terms of differentiation, the question items were in the bad category with a percentage of 47.5%, the very good category 7.5%, the good category 17.5%, the fair category 15%, and the negative category 12.5%. In effectiveness, scammers are classified as functioning quite effectively because 60% with a percentage of 32.5% function well and 27.5% function quite well, while 40% of scammers cannot function properly and need to be replaced or discarded. It can be concluded that the results of the analysis of the quality of PAS questions made by Indonesian Language teachers in grade VIII at SMP Negeri 18 Banda Aceh for the 2023/2024 school year have met the criteria as a fairly good test tool.
