ABSTRAK

Prarancangan pabrik Gula Kristal Bit menggunakan buah bit sebagai bahan baku. Kapasitas produksi sebesar 2.000 ton/tahun dengan waktu operasi 330 hari/tahun. Pabrik ini direncanakan dibangun di Desa Torong, Kecamatan Simpang Empat, Kabupaten Karo, Sumatera Utara dengan luas 12.395 m2. Bentuk Perusahaan yang direncanakan adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan bentuk organisasi yaitu garis dan staff dan tenaga kerja sebanyak 90 orang. Pemenuhan kebutuhan air untuk pabrik berasal dari sungai Torong dengan laju alir 4878,911 Kg/jam. Kebutuhan Listrik diperoleh dari Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) dan generator dengan daya 482,664 kW. Hasil analisis Ekonomi diperoleh sebagai berikut:
1. Fixed Capital Investment = Rp 73.260.694.696
2. Working Capital Investment = Rp 7.326.069.470
3. Total Capital Investment = Rp 80.586.764.166
4. Total biaya produksi = Rp 39.916.847.152
5. Hasil penjualan (S) = Rp 73.005.447.804
6. Laba bersih = Rp 24.816.450.489
7. Pay Out Time (POT) = 3,08 tahun
8. Break Event Point (BEP) = 21 %
9. Internal Rate of Return = 21,70 %
10. Rate of Return = 31%
Berdasarkan studi kelayakan teknis dan ekonomis diatas, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Prarancangan Gula Kristal ini layak dilanjutkan ke tahap rancangan.

ABSTRACT Preliminary Plant Design of Crystal Sugar using beet roots as raw materials. The production capacity is 2.000 tons/year with 330 working days/year. This plant location will be established in Torong Village, Simpang Empat Subdistrict, Karo Regency, North Sumatra with a land area of 12.395 m². The company is intended to be a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational structure and a workforce of 90 people. The water requirement for this plant is 4878,911 kg/hour which is obtained from the Torong River. The electricity needs will be met by the State Electricity Company (PLN) and generators with a power of 482.664 kW. The Feasibility Studies from economic analysis which obtained: 1. Fixed Capital Investment = Rp 73.260.694.696 2. Working Capital Investment = Rp 7.326.069.470 3. Total Capital Investment = Rp 80.586.764.166 4. Total production cost = Rp 39.916.847.152 5. Sales revenue (S) = Rp 73.005.447.804 6. Net profit = Rp 24.816.450.489 7. Pay Out Time (POT) = 3,08 years 8. Break Even Point (BEP) = 21 % 9. Internal Rate of Return = 21,70 % 10. Rate of Return = 31 % Based on the technical and economic feasibility study, it can be concluded that the Preliminary Plant Design of this Crystal Sugar Plant is feasible to proceed to the design stage.
