Lapangan “AB” merupakan salah satu lapangan minyak dan gas yang terletak di Cekungan Sumatera Tengah. Minyak dan gas bumi merupakan komoditas strategis yang penting bagi perekonomian Indonesia serta berperan sebagai sumber utama energi. Untuk menghadapi tantangan sektor minyak dan gas bumi, diperlukan penelitian lanjutan dalam mengidentifikasi cadangan minyak dan gas bumi pada sumur lama dan baru melalui analisis cekungan yang berada di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengestimasi cadangan hidrokarbon dalam bentuk Original Oil In Place (OOIP) di Lapangan "AB". Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup analisis petrofisika dan interpretasi data seismik 2D. Analisis petrofisika dilakukan untuk menentukan parameter-parameter penting seperti volume shale (Vsh), porositas (ϕ), resistivitas air (Rw) dan saturasi air (Sw). Sementara itu, interpretasi data seismik digunakan untuk menghasilkan peta struktur kedalaman dan menentukan volume bulk dari reservoar. Integrasi kedua metode ini memungkinkan perhitungan volumetrik hidrokarbon yang lebih akurat di Lapangan "AB". Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua formasi dengan potensi hidrokarbon yang tinggi, yaitu Formasi Intra Telisa dan Near Top Binio. Estimasi cadangan hidrokarbon pada area prospek dan lead di WT-1 menunjukkan total cadangan minyak sebesar 0,17 MMSTB, sedangkan di WT-2, total estimasi cadangan minyak mencapai 11,85 MMSTB. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan informasi yang diperoleh dapat menjadi landasan penting dalam perencanaan eksplorasi dan pengembangan lapangan minyak dan gas di Cekungan Sumatera Tengah.

The ‘AB’ field is one of the oil and gas fields located in the Central Sumatera Basin. Oil and gas are strategic commodities that are important to the Indonesian economy and serve as the main source of energy. To face the challenges of the oil and gas sector, further research is needed to identify oil and gas reserves in old and new wells through basin analysis in Indonesia. This study was conducted to estimate hydrocarbon reserves in the form of Original Oil In Place (OOIP) in Field ‘AB’. The methods used in this study include petrophysical analysis and 2D seismic data interpretation. Petrophysical analysis was conducted to determine important parameters such as shale volume (Vsh), porosity (ϕ), resistivity water (Rw) and water saturation (Sw). Meanwhile, seismic data interpretation is used to generate depth structure maps and determine the bulk volume of the reservoir. The integration of these two methods allows for more accurate volumetric hydrocarbon calculations in Field ‘AB’. The results show that there are two formations with high hydrocarbon potential, namely the Intra Telisa and Near Top Binio Formations. The estimation of hydrocarbon reserves in the prospect and lead areas in WT-1 shows a total oil reserve of 0.17 MMSTB, while in WT-2, the total estimated oil reserve reaches 11.85 MMSTB. With this study, it is expected that the information obtained can be an important foundation in planning exploration and development of oil and gas fields in the Central Sumatera Basin.
