Mahasiswa yang berasal dari keluarga yang mengalami perceraian mungkin mengalami perasaan tidak stabil yang dapat mempengaruhi motivasi individu untuk belajar. Hardiness dapat menjadi prediktor pada motivasi akademik yang berkaitan dengan ketertarikan terhadap kebutuhan ataupun keinginan yang dimiliki saat menjalankan berbagai aktivitas akademik. Adapun yang menjadi tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis hubungan antara hardiness dengan motivasi akademik pada mahasiswa dengan orang tua bercerai. Sebanyak 43 mahasiswa dengan orang tua bercerai dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling terlibat sebagai sampel penelitian dan telah berpartisipasi aktif mengisi instrumen penelitian berupa skala Multidimensional Hardiness Inventory for Young Adults in
Indonesia (MHIYA) dengan 18 aitem (α = 0.937) dan skala Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) versi singkat Bahasa Indonesia dengan 15 aitem nilai Cronbach's α dimensi motivasi intinsik (α = 0.842) , motivasi ekstrinsik (α = 0.810) dan amotivasi (α = 0.781) . Students who come from families experiencing divorce may experience feelings of instability that can affect individual motivation to learn. Hardiness can be a predictor of academic motivation related to interest in the needs or desires that are owned when carrying out various academic activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between hardiness and academic motivation in students with divorced parents. A total of 43 students with divorced parents selected by purposive sampling technique were involved as research samples and had actively participated in filling out research instruments in the form of the Multidimensional Hardiness Inventory for Young Adults in Indonesia (MHIYA) scale with 18 items (α = 0.937) and the Indonesian short version of the Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) scale with 15 items Cronbach's α value of the dimensions of intrinsic motivation (α = 0.842), extrinsic motivation (α = 0.810) and amotivation (α = 0.781).
