Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Prajabatan adalah program pendidikan yang diselenggarakan setelah program sarjana atau sarjana terapan bagi lulusan Sarjana maupun Diploma Empat, baik dari kependidikan maupun non kependidikan bagi calon guru untuk mendapatkan Sertifikat Pendidik pada pendidikan anak usia dini, pendidikan dasar dan pendidikan menengah. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi terhadap program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Prajabatan di FKIP Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengambilan informan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 10 orang mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi dengan mengunakan teknik “purposive”. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik kepustakaan dan teknik lapangan meliputi observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi terhadap capaian pembelajaran program PPG Prajabatan yaitu mahasiswa mengetahui tentang program PPG Prajabatan, sebuah program yang dirancang untuk menghasilkan guru profesional dengan sertifikat pendidik. Informasi mengenai program ini di dapatkan melalui mendengar dan membaca informasi melalui berbagai saluran seperti media sosial, situs resmi pemerintah, publikasi akademik, teman dan dosen. Persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi terhadap beban belajar program PPG Prajabatan yaitu adanya variasi. Secara umum, mahasiswa mengetahui mata kuliah apa saja yang dipelajari, meskipun tingkat pemahaman mereka berbeda-beda. Persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi terhadap pembelajaran program PPG Prajabatan yaitu adanya pembelajaran dikelas (perkuliahan) dan praktik lapangan sehingga menciptakan kesinambungan antara teori dan praktik. Persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi terhadap penilaian program PPG Prajabatan yaitu menunjukan program PPG Prajabatan sangat penting bagi calon guru karena membantu meningkatkan kemampuan menjadi pendidik yang kompeten dan profesional. Persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi terhadap pelaksanaan program PPG Prajabatan yaitu mahasiswa berantusias mengikuti program PPG Prajabatan. Namun, terdapat mahasiswa yang belum berantusias dikarenakan kurangnya informasi mengenai program tersebut. Persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi terhadap pembiayaan program PPG Prajabatan yaitu bahwa pembiayaan bersubsidi sangat bermanfaat terutama bagi mahasiswa yang memiliki potensi tetapi terbatas secara ekonomi.

Pre-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) is an educational program held after the undergraduate or applied graduate program for Bachelor or Diploma Four graduates, both from education and non-education for prospective teachers to obtain an Educator Certificate in early childhood education, primary education and secondary education. The aim of the research is to determine the perceptions of economic education students towards the Pre-Service Professional Teacher Education (PPG) program at FKIP Syiah Kuala University. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The informants in this research were 10 economics education students using the "purposive" technique. The data collection techniques used are library techniques and field techniques including observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the research results, it is known that the perception of economic education students regarding the learning outcomes of the Pre-Service PPG program is that students know about the Pre-Service PPG program, a program designed to produce professional teachers with educational certificates. Information about this program is obtained through listening and reading information through various channels such as social media, official government websites, academic publications, friends and lecturers. The perception of economic education students regarding the learning load of the Pre-Service PPG program is that there are variations. In general, students know what subjects they are studying, although their level of understanding varies. The perception of economic education students regarding learning in the Pre-Service PPG program is that there is classroom learning (lectures) and field practice, thereby creating continuity between theory and practice. The perception of economic education students regarding the assessment of the Pre-Service PPG program shows that the Pre-Service PPG program is very important for prospective teachers because it helps improve their ability to become competent and professional educators. The perception of economic education students regarding the implementation of the Pre-service PPG program is that students are enthusiastic about participating in the Pre-service PPG program. However, there are students who are not enthusiastic due to lack of information about the program. The perception of economic education students regarding financing for the Pre-Service PPG program is that subsidized financing is very useful, especially for students who have potential but are economically limited.
