 <note>Eceng  gondok  can  be used  as  raw  material  of pulp  production  because  it containi high  cellulose.  The  production   of pulp  from  eceng  gondok  can  be  though   soda process  started  wash  with  ripening  by  using  the  NaOH,  fellowed  wash  by  of this research  was  to  study  the  influence  of NaOH  concentration   (NaOH)  and  ripening time to permanganate%  yield, number,  and rate of cellulose  content.  Variable  used in this research are concentration  of NaOH  (3%, 5%, 7%,  9%, and  11%) and ripening time (120,  150,  180,  210, and 240 minute).  Other conditions  such as weight of eceng gondok fixed (8 gram), ripening  temperature  (125-135&quot;C), and condensation volume (500  ml) were  from  result  of this  research  obtained  the condition  of best  that  is  : when  repening  240  cooker  material  concentration  and  minute  7%  NaOH concentration. The  resalt  showed  that 31,81% yield,  10,65 permanganate  number  an cellulose rate 78% obtained  with the above operating condition.&#13;
