The tourism sector plays an important role in Indonesian economy, both as source of foreign exchange earnin gs as well as the creator of employment and business opportunities. To improve social welfare, tourism development will be continued and enhanced through the expansion and utilization of resources and national tourism potential to become economic activity that is expected to increase foreign exchange earnings. Beach Hotel Resort is one of the tourism facilities to increase foreign exchange revenues. Beach Hotel Resort is an accommodation that is equipped by recreational facilities located in Aceh Besar district, for both domestic and foreign tourist, so that they can promote the tourism sector. especially in the district of Aceh Besar. Plannin g of Beach Hotel Resort is expected to provide maximum service and provide comfort to visitors. Hotel Resort is designed to develop and promote pristine areas in Aceh as a tourism area by using nature conditions, climate, topography, contours, and the view. Design approach in planning of this Beach Hotel Resort use the theme of Green Architecture. The selection of this theme aims in order to Beach Hotel Resort in this planning can be sustainab le by the nature. One of the principles applied is cooperate with the climate. The application of the building is to use cross ventilation and natural light to the building.
