Wilayah Aceh Bagian Barat Selatan memiliki aktivitas seismik yang tinggi dipengaruhi oleh beberapa segmen Patahan Sumatera, meliputi Segmen Tripa, dan Segmen Batee sehingga pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai pola sesar sangat penting untuk mitigasi bencana alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pola sesar di Aceh Bagian Barat Selatan dengan menganalisis distribusi gempa sebelum dan sesudah relokasi menggunakan VELEST dan HYPODD. Data yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini direkam oleh seismometer yang tersebar di wilayah Aceh Bagian Barat Selatan dengan rentang waktu dari Tahun 2010-2023. Hasil lokalisasi awal gempa bumi diperoleh 935 event gempa yang terdistribusi di sekitar dan di luar wilayah Aceh Bagian Barat Selatan. Event gempa direlokasi tahap pertama menggunakan metode Coupled Velocity Hypocenter dan direlokasi tahap kedua dengan metode Double Difference. Analisis distribusi gempa dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi pola penyebaran gempa bumi di wilayah Aceh Bagian Barat Selatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pola sesar dari distribusi gempa yang diperoleh terdapat kesesuaian dari lineasi gempa dengan topografi wilayah Aceh Bagian Barat Selatan pada tiap-tiap klaster gempa. Terdapat segmen dugaan yang merupakan terusan dari Segmen Batee-C, yaitu Segmen Batee-D, Segmen Batee-E, dan Segmen Batee-F. Pola sesar yang teridentifikasi diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi yang berguna dalam upaya mitigasi risiko bencana di wilayah Aceh Bagian Barat Selatan.

The South West Aceh region has high seismic activity influenced by several segments of the Sumatra segments, including the Tripa Segment and the Batee Segment. Better understanding of fault patterns is essential for natural disaster mitigation. This study aims to investigate fault patterns in South West Aceh by analyzing the distribution of earthquakes before and after relocation using VELEST and HYPODD. The data used for this study were recorder by seismometers spread across on the South West Aceh region with a time spam from 2010-2023. The result of the initial localization of earthquakes obtained 935 earthquake events distributed around the South West Aceh region. Earthquake events were relocated the first stage using the Coupled Velocity Hypocenter method and relocated the second stage using the Double Difference method. Earthquake distribution analysis was conducted to identify the pattern of earthquake distribution in the South West Aceh region. The result of study show that the fault pattern from earthquake distribution obtained there is a correspondence of the earthquake lineation with the topography of the South West Aceh region in each earthquake cluster. There is a segment suspected to be a continuation of the Batee-C Segment, namely the Batee-D Segment, Batee-E Segment, and Batee-F Segment. The identified fault patterns are expected to provide useful information in disaster risk mitigation efforts in the South West Aceh region.
