ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi pemilik industri tahu dan strategi pemanfaatan modal sosial industri rumahan tahu di Gampong Punge Blang Cut sebagai solusi dalam mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi. Untuk menganalisa hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini menggunakan teori Modal Sosial oleh Robert D. Putnam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian naratif. Adapun metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat beberapa kendala dalam upaya mengembangkan dan mempertahankan industri tahu di Gampong Punge Blang Cut. Kendala yang dialami pengrajin industri tahu yakni bahan baku, modal usaha, tenaga kerja, dan bahasa. Adapun strategi pemanfaatan modal sosial yang dilakukan yaitu pertama norma. Normal sosial yang ada di industri tahu Gampong Blang Cut berupa menjaga kualitas tahu, menjual sesuai harga pasaran, tidak membuang limbah di sungai, membayar harga bahan baku dengan distributor tepat waktu, sedangkan peraturan untuk karyawan di industri tahu berupa Laki laki maksimal 40 tahun bisa kerja fisik atau kerja berat, bersedia bekerja sesuai jam kerja yg telah ditentukan, bersedia di training (pelatihan untuk proses produksi tahu), shalat 5 waktu, dan gaji
100.000 – 120.000 perhari. Kedua yakni dengan membangun kepercayaan. Kepercayaan dapat terbangun karena adanya hubungan kekerabatan, Hubungan yang berlangsung karena sudah terjalin sejak lama, tempat asal yang sama, kualitas produk, pelayanan yang baik, kejujuran, dan tidak pernah ada komentar negatif dari pelanggan. Dari terbentuknya kepercayaan ini berdampak positif bagi keberlangsungan usaha karena akan semakin banyak terbentuknya jaringan sosial bagi pengusaha tahu. Ketiga jaringan sosial pelaku usaha industri tahu di Gampong Punge Blang Cut yaitu supplier bahan baku, pemborong dan pelanggan dengan pembelian terbatas. Dengan adanya jaringan sosial yang kuat antara pelaku usaha tahu di Gampong Punge Blang Cut maka akan memberikan manfaat bagi masing- masing pelaku usaha, antara lain: mendapatkan bantuan berupa material, mendapatkan bantuan berupa tenaga kerja dari pemilik usaha lainnya, mendapatkan bantuan berupa informasi, mendapatkan lowongan pekerjaan bagi masyarakat yang belum memilikinya.

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the obstacles faced by tofu industry owners and strategies for utilizing the social capital of the tofu home industry in Gampong Punge Blang Cut as a solution to overcome the obstacles faced. To analyze this, this research uses the Social Capital theory by Robert D. Putnam. The research method used is qualitative with a narrative research type. The data collection methods in this research are in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that there are several obstacles in efforts to develop and maintain the tofu industry in Gampong Punge Blang Cut. The obstacles experienced by tofu industry craftsmen are raw materials, business capital, labor and language. The strategy for utilizing social capital is first, norms. The social norms that exist in the Gampong Blang Cut tofu industry include maintaining the quality of the tofu, selling according to market prices, not throwing waste in the river, paying the price of raw materials to distributors on time, while the regulations for employees in the tofu industry are that men must be a maximum of 40 years old and can work. physical or hard work, willing to work according to predetermined working hours, willing to receive training (training for the tofu production process), pray 5 times a day, and a salary of 100,000 – 120,000 per day. Second, namely by building trust. Trust can be built because of kinship relationships, relationships that last because they have existed for a long time, the same place of origin, product quality, good service, honesty, and never having negative comments from customers. The formation of this trust has a positive impact on business sustainability because social networks will increasingly be formed for tofu entrepreneurs. The third network of tofu industry business players in Gampong Punge Blang Cut is raw material suppliers, wholesalers and customers with limited purchases. With the existence of a strong social network between tofu business actors in Gampong Punge Blang Cut, it will provide benefits for each business actor, including: getting assistance in the form of materials, getting assistance in the form of labor from other business owners, getting help in the form of information, getting Job vacancies for people who don't have them yet.
