Abstrak
Model pembelajaran Word Square merupakan pembelajaran kooperatif yang menuntut kemandirian peserta didik dalam menemukan kata-kata dalam kotak kata berbentuk seperti teka-teki silang yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan materi pelajaran. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Apakah terdapat pengaruh dalam penerapan model pembelajaran Word Square terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi siklus air di kelas V SDN 46 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Word Square terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi siklus air di kelas V SDN 46 Banda Aceh.
Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian eksperimen semu dengan model One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling, sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 24 orang siswa di kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes sebanyak 10 butir soal yang berbentuk essay setelah 3 kali pertemuan untuk melihat hasil belajar siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dan dk = n-1=24-1=23 maka daftar distribusi t dengan t_((1-α)(n-1))=t_((0,95)(23)) sehingga diperoleh t_((0,95)(23)) = 1,71 karena t_hitung>t_(tabel ,) yaitu 19,5 > 1,71. Dengan demikian H_0 ditolak dan H_a diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Word Square terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi siklus air di kelas V SDN 46 Banda Aceh.

Abstract The Word Square learning model is cooperative learning that requires students' independence in finding words in a word box shaped like a crossword puzzle which is used to convey lesson material. The formulation in this research is whether there is an influence in the application of the Word Square learning model on student learning outcomes in the water cycle material in class V at SDN 46 Banda Aceh. This research aims to determine the effect of applying the Word Square learning model on student learning outcomes in water cycle material in class V at SDN 46 Banda Aceh. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. This type of quasi-experimental research uses the One Group Pretest Posttest Design model. Sampling was taken using a saturated sampling technique, the sample used was 24 students in class V. The data collection technique was carried out by giving a test of 10 questions in essay form after 3 meetings to see student learning outcomes. The data analysis technique uses the t-test. The research results show that with a significant level of α = 0.05 and dk = n-1=24-1=23 then the t distribution list with t_((1-α)(n-1))=t_((0.95) (23)) so that we get t_((0.95)(23)) = 1.71 because t_count>t_(table ,) namely 19.5 > 1.71. Thus H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of the Word Square learning model on student learning outcomes in the water cycle material in class V SDN 46 Banda Aceh.
